Nitrates aren't all that badIf you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.
My way is Atkins0 -
Tinks, you are both fab with the veggie low carb... seriously I don't know how you do it without being able to sink your teeth into meat! I wouldn't know what to eat but in saying that I would have a challenge being veggie even if I wasn't low carb. I have thought about it for the purposes of the love of animals but I can't
Newish interesting article but I think the nitrates are thought to stall... must go pull out my Atkins book if I haven't given it away again! I think I have had a dozen! :rotfl:
My flaz bread is in the oven and I am really looking forward to my lunch now!0 -
Oh Flaz bread sounds so razz! I of course meant flax!!! Fingers... who'd 'ave em!0

Hi all, been out in the sunshine, my skinny friend dragged (not really)me into a cake shop and altho i wouldn't normally be bothered there were three things in that shop i'd have killed for, was imagining scoffing them, they looked delish i must say, won't name them (dont want you all getting cravings,) but.. i walked out and came home for a coffee and cream. :T was fine til i saw em.
Funny cos i'm normally a savoury gal.
Phew that was a close one:rotfl:0 -
Oh the sunshine's lovely, isn't it? Out here on the patio with my laptop. Ted! Look at me! I'm getting vitamin D!
The chickens all flopped down for a sunbathe together but I didn't have my camera handy... then Stella decided to get up and stand on Sheila whilst pecking Fred's face, which just ruined everything...
My rhubarb is coming up, my fruit bushes are budding and I've got chives! The bulbs are just about flowering too, some yellow crocuses and daffodils, which is good cos I'd forgotten they were there and built a henhouse on top of them...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Hello!
Hope you are all well n happy!
Tis good to see the sun but can't go out as chained to my bench
Being very good and on message, not weighed or measured for about 2 weeks, may check it out this weekend
Seem slimmer, clothes fitting a little better but nothing dramatic going on I fear. Have sent off for Atkins Book to research getting down to ideal weight that way. My current lifestyle seems to maintain me around 11 stone so if I get down by being more drastic, I'm hoping I'll be ok on maintenance.
May make some mexican fudge tonight, I'll let you know how it goes

Went to H&B today and bought some lovely naturally caffeine free t-bags called Tick Tock. I have to say they're absolutely delicious!:D However, £1.79 for 40! Oh well, you can't have everything.
I suppose one of you is now going to spoil the party and tell me they contain 5g carbs per bag! :rotfl:0 -

No I'm not going to tell you that:D But I am going to tell you that Tick Tock is a brand of Rooibos (or "redbush") tea - which comes from my ancestral homeland of South Africa and it is packed full of antioxidants too - so I am pleased you are drinking it on two counts:D
You might find cheaper versions of rooibos tea in supermarkets.
I have a box of Tick Tock on my desk in front of me:)

Well have been and done the shopping - got the eggs kissi, have loads of chicken drumsticks/thighs, salmon, tuna, trout, steak - in fact you name it and I've probably bought it. Also got some lettuce that still has roots attatched so was wondering if it'd be worth planting it and seeing if it will carry on growing - may give it a try and see. Have started my own menu planning so I know what I'll be eating next week.
Is it Monday yet?:p I even managed to walk past the bakers without thinking ooh that looks nice! Hmmm something's going on here.0
