We ALL wear leeks on March 1st where I live:T
    Or daffs:D

I think that if it came to actually wearing a plant I'd rather it was a daffy than a leek :D They're tasty but IMO flowers are prettier ;)

Absolutely loving crispy salads at the mo, and still on the l/c wagon!

You don't have any control over what life throws at you.
You DO have control over how you react :)
  • Leaks where £1 in Iceland the other day for about 6ish leaks. I chopped mine up and stuck in freezer in little bags. Keeps them really fresh. Iceland also do great frozen veg like a big bag of froen green beans for £1. Great for when you are working and want to cook something with veg.

Day 10 of Rose Elliot's induction:
    - Peanut smoothie and flax / wheatbran hot cereal
    - Goat's cheese salad (plus some tofu from last night's uneaten dinner)
    - Mushroom fritata

I've been thinking about this "stuck" thing, and it hit me last night that there's one diet I haven't tried for a while - I did it this time last year and it's what kicked off my weightloss in the first place. It's not fun but it may work again. Basically, it's the same thing every day:
    - Fruit smoothie (having learned more about fructose, I would probably still use fruit but blended with soya milk / yoghurt and hemp protein)
    - Green salad leaves, no dressing
    - Green smoothie (avocado, spinach, garlic and olive oil, plus either adouki / kidney beans or tofu)

Last time, I kept it up for about 6 weeks and it was the most dramatic weightloss ever - to keep my appetite under control, whenever I felt hungry I went for a brisk walk round the block...

sorry couldnt do just shakes etc, they are just a meal replacement diet and the problem with a lot of those is that u just gain it back again... the meat and eggs i have done a few times and it works i may even give it a go myself tho i know seeing those pounds drop is a mental thing not a physical cos my body is the same size as before

re the high fat yes that is supposed to be good but some people say all that fat cant come from dairy which sort of throws me

i did consider lipo myself but i wonder if the skin would then hang which is even worse a look!!!.... i started marching on the treadmill with small weights and i took inches off my arms andbat wings so would definitely recommend that.... isuppose considering how much weight i have lost i am pretty lucky that i dont sag more

I know that's the theory, but this is a diet I made up myself and I never regained at all when I came off - I just gradually increased solid food and then went onto general low-carbing, and continued losing weight. If I'm now maintaining a consistent weight, I see no reason why I couldn't maintain a new lower weight.

Most of the feedback I get from "Very Low Calorie" diets is that people launch onto them, and then launch back into weight-gain eating habits, which I solemnly swear not to do ;)

It was a slight exaggeration:D some people wear daffs but its only a little felt leek we wear anyway, seems daft but gotta show your support:rolleyes:
Many moons ago when I was a schoolgirl tho, all the boys were in competition as to which idiot could wear the biggest real leek, some were huge and they would then bend forward and chomp on them in class:rotfl:

    You'll show them, mazzers!

    Hello lovelies :hello:

Well, sat here at my desk with a coffee and soya milk lol:rolleyes: contemplating the day ahead. That one and a half pounds still no signs of shifting but ho hum cheered myself up by taking advantage of M&S's two dine in for £10 deal this morning on the way to work. I got a whole chicken, ceasar-style vegetables (which I've had before and are yum), their 3 cheese selection for dessert and um, a bottle of dry white wine... which of course I won't be drinking... :D Really good value I think - altho no leeks, so maybe you guys are disappointed:D

b - flax bread and sausage
l - cold meat, cheese and salad
d - pork belly slices and prob mushrooms in cheesy cream sauce.

Having a good day everyone :) Friday tomorrow! :j Oooo... it's me dear old dad's birthday today, I must remember to give him a call later.

    Much love to all,
