  • Vanilla essense is the same as flavouring - and nasty (imo)

Extract is far far better ;)
Oh, good, sounds like I went for the right one then. :D Thanks Tink.

Blimey - bit scary if it's 8 tablespoons of Splenda!

I agree! I'd get a sore mouth from that much, and indigestion  When you think how little 1 oz of cheese is and more than 1 tablespoon for each, bleaugh!

You don't have any control over what life throws at you.
You DO have control over how you react :)
  • Thanks for the quick reply Badger Lady. My situation is rather complicated at the moment, though its all of my own making! Ive been doing the Cambridge diet and am really struggling and want something to eat. I know from bitter experience that if I have anything carby I'll put 4 or 5lbs on in glycogen overnight and I really want to avoid this, so Im thinking of easing myself into low carb eating. I hopefully want to stick with CD for another couple of weeks first but I know if I dont eat something today I'll blow it big time!
Gladys, I did a similar plan (lipotrim) as I wanted to loose the weight I put on after giving up smoking and strongly advise you eat something with virtually no carbs initially. I didn't gain weight when I came off it, but did over Christmas and I am now struggling to loose that 5lb or so. Good luck as I know how boring it can be;)

Instead of what you said, how about an omlette or chicken or crispy bacon or cheese and cream cheese rolls or an English breakfast???? All very low carb. Trust me, you don't need to be to extravagent, just eating normal food is LUSH:D
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    My way is Atkins;)

saz is right big T means tablespoon, little t teaspoon, from my experience of the american recipes i always half the amount of sweetener as i find most of their stuff WAYY too sweet for my liking

gladys as the others have said replace with leek, make sure u check the tins of tomatoes as some have sugar in and dont go mad on the mushrooms.

in future all recipes should be printed in ink that sweet cannot read cos shes not to be trusted lolol

have in the oven sesame crackers, onle lot with garlic salt the other with spices and sweetener.. i shall report back later

Badger, I couldn't get vanilla essence - Tesco only had flavouring or extract so I went for the extract (Dr. Oetker Vanilla Natural Extract) - is it the same thing as essence?

Well I always thought they were the same! I can't stand the "flavouring" so I always buy "the other one" :rotfl:

right i am back with my taste testing report ....

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmm... enough details?? no prob not for u lot u will want to know what i did lol

ok sesame recipe except i used mixed seeds (cos they were on offer and sesame ones werent!) and whizzed them in magic bullet mixed with the almond flour, butter and egg white as normal
then one half i added garlic salt to and the other half i added da vincis spice blend sweetener too (had to add some more almond flour to this half as the da vincis made it a bit wet)... both are VERY scrummy hot and hopefully will be just as nice cold

right off to cook proper dinner now

Ok....I've had enough today. What does wine do?

Does it put weight on....or just stop you taking more off? (Blossom Hill Rose if it makes an difference.)
