Well I guess there's always the old-fashioned remedies - a paracetamol will bring a temperature down and help with headaches; hot water with lemon is low-carb and will help a sore throat; steamy hot water will help to clear sinuses... and nothing beats a good rest!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

I've got all that thanks BL, but I'm still feeling sorry for myself. I've broken up some throat pastilles into small bits so I can suck a small bit at a time to soothe my throat. But I've got a dry cough as well, and the lemon/hot water isn't helping, just feeling yeuk, but goes witht he territory I suppose. At lwast OH is feeding himself and the animals0

I was thinking of having fish for supper tonight and I've got a pot of soured cream on half that needs to be used. Any ideas what I could do with it? My OH and I are on the Atkins plan.0

HI guys, can anyone enlighten me on the use of protein shakes for Atkins. I want to up my protein and have something easy for breakfast. Are there sugar free varieties out there which don't taste vile. I tried the low carb shakes from tescos and they were foul....
Alm - why not try mixing sour cream with cheese to make a sort of white sauce. Pour over your fish.
Check the carbs in sour cream tho as I think it does contain some.
Thanks everyone.0 -
Well you know how I said i was really thirsty yesterday? Well I have only lost a pound in the previous fortnight but I weighed myself this morning and discovered that I'm down 3 pounds overnight! Weird - because the scales haven't budged all week long!
My protein shake is called 'phd pharma whey' it is supposedly better tasting than others out there. Its actually not too bad - I have it with water so would taste even better with soya milk or cream. I know other people have the holland and barrett 'protein whey', but since I couldn't get into town , I got the other one instead via mail order.July Win: Nokia 58000 -

I was a walking windbag until I started Atkins and its now stopped. Im guessing its because we are no longer eating bread and other stuff containing yeast.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0
