i saw that in the daily mail article there are going to be a LOT of confused people out there with minus carbs in things!!

alias if u have lowered yr carbs to below 20 it could be that u are going into deeper ketosis. i get a huge headache on day 3/4 of induction especially if i have been eating rubbish in the previous week (bars??) so i would imagine it would pass in another day..... in a weird sort of way its a good thing as its all the toxins leaving yr body,... drink loads and rest for a day or so as much as u can, hope u feel better soon

Thanks guys. I'm in the middle of washing my carpets today, we hired a rug doctor and I'm getting my money's worth. Could have done without it today though. Anyway, that's why I'm just popping in and out.

I dont think I am eating enough fat now you mention it. I have eggs for breakfast usually but I think that's pretty much been it on the fat front. I've upped my water again but I think I've been drinking enough and I have been taking my supplements (in fact Ted's 5thingy arrived this morning so I took one of them too :))

I think I'll lay off the bars (tbh ,they do seem to becoming a mini addiction) and I think I'll need to try eat more than I am doing just now. I'm really tired as well, usually in bed for 10pm at latest and struggle to get up at 7am....and all this is just within the last couple of days. My period is due maybe I'm just a bit drained because of that too.

Best get back to the carpets. See you all later.

You need LOTS more fat hon

Can you make cheese omelette for breakfast, put cream in your coffee, mayo on your salads, butter on your veg? If you don't put fat into your body, you'll start burnig muscle instead, which is very difficult to recover.

(there's nothing nutritional in those bars - just nasty chemicals)

Badger, I keep looking at that spinach bread recipe, wondering whether to try it. If you recommend it, perhaps I'll give it a go. Team away day? Do tell. Rugby?

Nothing that interesting I'm afraid! Just presentations in a golf club. We also had to play a game called "boy girl" where you had to name vegetables beginning with a certain letter - my submissions for "Kale" and "Chard" were declined because "I'd made them up"! :rotfl:

Spinach bread is definitely a winner - the batch I did was a little fragile for sandwiches but was very tasty on the side. It might be better toasted - but I think the ultimate might be a combination of spinach and ground flax... will experiment!

Anyway, I did well to pack my own lunch - the one provided was curry or stroganov with rice, chips and poppadoms. Not so bad until you factor in that neither the curry nor the stroganov were vegetarian

I usually do have a cheese omelette funny enough Tink, it's just this past couple of days that I haven't had that. I hate cream and can only have it if it's cooked into something iyswim. Do have mayo...not had butter on veg but will do that. I definitely haven't had much over the last 2-3 days though, now I'm thinking about it.

Ok I'll start tomorrow afresh and put more effort into my meals.

(I seriously wish I was rich and could afford a cook...I hate cooking and faffing about in the kitchen. That's another reason why I got fat in the first place...takeaways. :rotfl: I'd be thin if I had a cook. )

You could make oopsies and have them with butter (and marmite - yum)

Make flavoured butters to have on meat and fish etc - just mash butter with garlic/chilli/herbs/lemon zest etc and keep in the fridge rolled in cling film. Just cut a bit off to have on your veg or protein

Dry fry some slices of halloumi and sprinkle with chilli and lemon juice while warm. Gives you something different to pick at if you fancy it.

Stir some cheese into your coleslaw. Drizzle salads with olive oil.

It's not hard to up your fat levels if you need to. :D

I love this way of eating!!
