For those who don't know about FATHEAD try these links.

Fat Head The Movie - You've Been Fed A Load Of Bologna

I should perhaps make that point that although the chap who made the film usually eats low carb for the film he increased his carb intake.
"This is more of a modified Zone diet than a true low-carb diet. Normally I limit my carbs even more than this, but I was aiming for fast-food meals I think most people would be willing to try. Some people just can't bring themselves to give up starches completely."

  • Yeah I've seen those clips and Eades on Fathead. Looks like a really interesting movie but not so much that I'll buy it. Maybe it'll be on the TV or Youtube one day.
For those who weigh themselves (is that all bar me?):D ...............
Which scales would you recommend buying? They're dear but I'd want ones that actually break down the number so you can see what's fat and what isn't otherwise you just end up thinking you're massive when you could just have lotsa water on board or muscle etc. It's gotta be done, I think.:( BUM

Awww glad to hear it. We had a bit of an off-plan dinner last night, so least said about that the better too!;)

Re: thanking - yeah I'm a bit of an erratic thanker too lol - i like to thank everyone just coz I like everyone and it don't cost nowt:) but if i'm busy at work or sommat i don't always manage it, but there's no particular science to it really lol:D

Well, me and Gilly having our usual Sunday night blues ahead of work tomorrow - but at least we only have a four-day week this week - it's his birthday at the end of the week and we have taken friday off work :j I've organised a little surprise for his birthday but obviously can't say too much here;) The thread has ears! :shhh: :D

Bit better behaved foodwise today lol. Up late so had a pick at some cheese and cold meat for lunch. Just sat down to dinner - roast chicken, spicy celeriac mash and sliced green beans and really tasty too. Plus stock cube gravy with a little cream added which is delish and a great idea thanks to this thread! :T

Daisy - I'm on facebook - I'll pm you so you can add me if you would like to:)

Hope everyone's having a nice evening.

    Much love to all

Its chinese takeway for dinner tonight- what do you guys suggest is okay?

kung po special meat or foo yung? or something else:confused:

    Thanks!
    Tracy

I'm a fairly regular reader but very infrequent poster as I'm ususally so late catching up it seems not worth responding! However had to say I had a fright about chinese when watching them cook at a takeaway some time ago where you can see the kitchen. Three bowls above the hob, a fair spoonfull of each went into everything (and I mean absolutely everything), when I asked they identified them as MSG, salt and SUGAR!!! I asked them to do me chicken satay without sugar which they happily did. That's what I tend to ask for from any takeaway now - my local confirmed they also would ordinarily put sugar in it. I'm not sure if this is all chinese restaurants but no harm in asking them to exclude it if you decide to indulge.

Back to lurking for now - global thanks to you all for the entertainment and information.
