Right, back in the land of the living! Actually I'm quite proud of myself - had the basment cleaned and mopped by 10am (a very rare event for me even without a hangover and almighty party mess).

    So, slightly erratic day food-wise:
    Breakfast - skipped
Lunch - Sausage rolls, celery, 2 cherry tomatoes, hemp beans (not the best :()
    Supper - Blueberry-tofu pudding

I did 'alf come up with some impressive vodka-based drinks last night! Including yummy Turkish Delight shooters, which I'm going to have to make for Dad next time he comes up. But very naughty low-carb wise :( House is still decorated with glow-in-the-dark balloons, even in my bedroom - quite scary!

Glad you have been impressed by supermarket meat. It's not all bad :) I have to believe that as that's where I get most of mine from :D Glad to have it confirmed though :)

I enjoyed my dinner/supper. Left the chicken and indulged in Mercy's Meaty Munchies with tomato (1 large) herby salad and mayo. Yum!

You don't have any control over what life throws at you.
You DO have control over how you react :)

mercy this is a couple of times i have had meat from morrisons and have to say its not bad at all (cant compare with my butchers stuff tho sorry) ... the stuff i have had from asda and tesco has been jus dire tho!!

i do think more people should check out the butchers who often do family packs etc which work out much cheaper than u think... mine works out at a max of £2 a pound of meat

skint the bread we use tends not to use breadmaking skills jus mix, microwave eat lol

i think we should all go over to badgers to see her house decorations lol

was just reading this morning about making the oopsies with mayo instead of cream cheese (especially good if u are trying to cut back on dairy) .. seems u would need approx 1tbspn per egg and its also suggested u add something like protein powder or almond flour to the yolk mix before u fold it in to the whites to sturdy it up a bit

i just made a load of crackers last night so wont be doing any this week

My OH is on the Atkins Induction and doing brilliantly. He's lost 10lbs in 17 days. I'm at a normal weight range for my height but have put on 7lbs since Christmas. I know it doesn't sound a lot but all my clothes are feeling rather tight. I have been calorie counting for a few weeks but it's like pulling teeth and tediously slow. Could I lose a bit of weight on the Atkins plan even if I was so close to my ideal weight? or is it a plan really for people who have quite a bit to lose? I don't want to go on Atkins and find that I've put on weight by the end of the week?

Thanks HC for your reply. I am really tempted to try and see what happens. My OH has been on the induction for 3 weeks and probably will be for a while. I'll try it for a fortnight and if I put weight on I'll just have to come off it. Anybody else been on the Atkins when they've only needed to lose 7lbs?
