    Hi People!

Have had a much better day today - tis the weekend :)

Knee bearin up well so not the disaster it first appeared to be, thank you to any god lisnin.

I thank when peeps are interestin, make me laugh, are newbies introducin themselves, and on a whim.

    Been effortlessly good today
B - smoked salmon scrambled eggs
L - pork balls (balls of pork:)) and salad
D - not sure, likely chicken n tomatoes with mayo.

Agreed to do a walk for cancer charity, sounds like fun and will encourage family to join when I have proper details.

Glad we all seem happier today, I often blame the stars so maybe they've changed for the better.

Big love to you all, we're richer for this outlet.

ive just had the misfortune of paying £1.28 for a cucumber !! outrageous - havent had any cauliflower since god knows when due to the price

thinking of curries i bought some sachets of coconut milk or maybe cream - how can i use this in a curry type dish and would it taste sweet ??

I'v used the coconut cream and adding it at the end of a curry can have the effect of reducing the 'hot' if that's necessary. It gives a mild coconutty flavour and a creamy texture. Doesn't make it too sweet though. Very nice :)

Mostly I use coconoil in my curries since I got some. 3 teaspoons doesn't change the flavour (full big pan or casserole) but more can. Still very nice :)

    YAY! S'me again!

Anyone using a desktop may find this useful.

I have a largish piece of polystyrene packaging, covered fetchingly with an old tshirt, upon which I place my feet. Very warm indeed. Especially when a cat has just been evicted :)

Specking of food, at Home Bargains today they had bottles of Heinz mayo. Deli moroccan style was 29p for 280g 4.6g/100g carbs; sundried tomatoes was 29p for 280g 4.9g /100g carbs and Roasted garlic 39p for 280g 5.5g/100g carbs

I haven't tried them yet but they sound good and will make a change for the plain stuff.

LOL! I've just realied that I've made the last 3 posts- thats not to boost my thanks count LOL!

I did Home Bargains today too :)

Got olives black and green, pitted, for 55p a jar. Not bad and very low carb/MS :)

    I've done a few in a row too :)

I was thinking of pigging out chinese style :) But sticking to salt n pepper ribs / duck n similar for delivery. Can do other things to go with it at home but just love the taste of chinese done properly. Would the coatings do much harm, low carb wise? Wouldn't be indulging in much else, and, are prawn crackers a nono?

Prawn crackers should be avoided, along with anything battered or in a sweet sauce. Plus noodles/rice etc.

    Sorry :(

Nah, it's ok. Kinda thought that too :) They always give them away at the place I used to frequent so the birds will get a treat anyway. Will just stick to the lovely meat then, ta chuck.

    Hi

Here's a recipe I used to make last time I low carbed and had forgot until today. Have cheap 'whoopsed' lean beef mince in so I did this

    Mercy's meaty munchies (thanks avstar!)
    500g mince (any will do)
3 very finely chopped spring onions or small amount of leek, finely chopped
    Soy sauce, to add salt
    Black pepper
    Thyme / mixed herbs
olive oil cos meat is lean. Needed if using turkey mince also
    sprinkling of sunflower seed
    sprinkling of pumpkin seeds
    sprinkling of pine nuts
Lots more black pepper cos I like it
Any other seasoning you like best

Pulp together with hands, flat out to about 3/4 inch deep in lightly greased baking tin
180'C for about 40 mins total
after 20 mins or so I cut into 3x2 inch pieces ish then turn over
I turn over again after another 10 mins. with 10 mins to finish em off nicely :)

I end up with nice easy finger food which tastes great and is ideal for lunch at work with salad. Doubt any of this batch will survive tomorrow :D but if it does it'l be breakfast Monday.

Dunno what to call it, any ideas? (redundant - tis named :))
