I have been low carb for 5 months. (never went without but sticking to pulses n cider. No bread, rice, pasta, spuds, sugar. Mostly) At month 3 I had not lost any weight but my waist and hips had shrunk by 2 inches and my boobs had grown by 1.5 inches! Imagine my glee! (trust me, every little helps
) At month 5, body shape same
and lost 4 pounds.
It Works! and it's the only thing that does. No calorie worries, no bloat, no punishing myself!
Occasional hangover, but I had them anyway.
Yipeeeee!
Well I need to lose 7 stone so this won't be any good for me.
After 5 days on this I am 3lb heavier.
I don't know if the answer is to eat less or more.
My carbs are very low now.Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.
I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else0 -
You may need to eat more, gillette. And why are you weighing after 5 days? You shouldn't weigh more regularly than once a week.
Are you drinking your water? 2 litres a day MINIMUM.0 -
Our vik and shkyins lost 10 stone and 9 stone, i think, so it is possible... keep going:)

Eat more!!! You must be kidding - any more would be gorgeing.
And yes I am drinking at least 2lrs at work, nevermind in evening.
I've had over a lr already today.Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

are you having veg or salad with lunch and dinner? you said you had bacon last night - did you only have bacon?
what are your exercise levels like? if you can fit in 15 mins of fast walking it will help. are you taking any supplements?0 -

I am at work all day. And rarely get a lunchbreak.
So I have, as a makeshift atkins, been having a piece of cheese for breakfast.I'm really not hungry then and never had breakfast before so I am only doing this because you arent spost to skip meals.
Lunch is some chicken.
My evening meal last night was salad and bacon and eggs.
I need to regroup the weekend and find ways to have "meals" at work. But it is difficult. I leave for work at 7am and don't get back til 7:30pm. I live alone and just don't have the time.
I've got normal multivitamins but a friend is going to sort me out with some other supplements.
Exercise is difficult as I said time/enthusiasm is short. I have been going for long walks at the weekends.Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

I know it's a pain in the neck, but it really is worth spending 5 mins putting some lunch together the night before, for work the next day. I live on my own too, with little time to cook during the week, so more often enough than not I'll just buy a bag of mixed salad - that will last me about 3 days. I stick some of that in a plastic lunch box, add some sliced chicken, cheese or ham. And I leave a small bottle of lo-carb friendly dressing in the fridge.
And if I'm busy at work pressed for time, it's something I can easily eat at my desk.
Most nights I get home late from work and tired and don't feel like making the effort for nthe next day's lunch. But if I don't, the only options are pre-made sandwiches or other unsuitable fair, or expensive pre-made salads that cost the earth and usually contain potatoes, pasta or such like, and god know's how much sugar and additives. Really it's the MSE as well as healthy option :money:
So, I make the time to do it the night before - but it is literally only 5 minutes to stick some salad and stuff in a box... maybe you can stock up on some lunch materials over the weekend?
