Good morning elona  Morning everyone

How are we all today? I wish I was outside in the sunshine instead of stuck in this flipping office:rolleyes:, but hey ho...

Didn't have a chance last night to make up another batch of coleslaw to have with my lunch today:( So I've got ham salad plus a few rounds of chorizo to make up for it:D

Now you mention it Elona, I've got some Greek yoghurt in the office fridge, so may have some of that in minute!

Note to self: I really must stop reading the OS board and driving myself mad with all the delicious-sounding recipes for homemade bread!:o

    Have a good day all.

    Much love,

lol tinker! I think using a fork to pr1ck pastry obviously falls foul of the rude word checker :rotfl:

Thanks for posting the recipe - sounds fab. I don't have a food processor, but i'm assuming I can rub the cold butter into the almond flour the same way you'd make regular shortcrust pastry?

Can't wait to try it - I love quiche! :j

i should have guessed that would happen! :rotfl:

you could rub them together, or alternatively use softened butter, mix together and then pop it in the fridge before using ;)

    Question:
Can you have rooibos tea? It's caffeine free but I can't find what else is in it.

Well I am sort of trying the proper Atkins diet.
I drank 3L of water yesterday.
I read somewhere that 1 outer leaf of romaine lettice is 1g of carb. So I based my salad yesterday on that.
I only had one tomato coz I read they are in the higher catagory.

I had steak with my salad and then i still felt hungry......so I had 4 strips of bacon later!!

I read that I'm not spost to miss meals. So I had some chicken for breakfast LOL

I think I am complying with what I'm spost to do a bit better now. I don't really expect this to work but I will stick with it and see.

Rooibos tea should be ok, and a fine choice of beverage if I may say so;)

Missing meals is really not a good idea in general. For breakfast on weekdays when time is short, I have one Scandanavian Bran Crispbread (3g carb) topped with some cheese and or ham - and that usually keeps me going till lunch. Or you could just have some sliced cheese and/or ham and some slices of tomato depending on what Atkins allows, o'course.

Or make a meat version of my muffins and just zap them for a minute in the micro - virtually no carbs and a super speedy brekkie. ;)

My problem is I work long hours and I'm a bloke.
I might get into cooking stuff in the future....but for now I just want to have stuff I can buy.

    Oh and another Qu:
What is the most normal drink you can have in a pub?

[Thanks for all the help everyone btw]
