L - leftover chicken with salad
    D - Chilli
[strike]Might[/strike] will sneak a couple of pork medallions in mid-morning
Pud - maybe rasps/blues with double cream again?
Snacks - salted peanuts & maybe some cubes of cheese
As it's Friday I'm going to have some red wine tonight as a treat - can't wait!!
Just wanted to say this thread is definitely keeping me going - it's great that there are people out there in the same boat as me & we are sharing our ups & downs, giving tips etc. I feel like I can definitely do this!!:D
Ps - my jeans are definitely looser, will invest in a belt next week, don't think I'm quite ready for the next size down just yet, but hopefully not too long!!

    Hellooo lovelies :hello:

Before I say anything else: Thank goodness it's friiidaaay!!!! :j :D

Well that was a carp week, I don't mind telling you. I should have known, when it started with having to work from home last weekend that it would be all down hill from there lol and it was:rolleyes: Anyway, just gotta get through today.

Rainbow - i started low carbing last summer. It's not exactly been a quick fix for me - started at 10 stone 8, got down to 9 stone 7 at the beginnning of December, put 4 pounds on again over xmas and still trying to get that off:rolleyes: I'm just under 5 ft.

So to everyone who's struggling with motivation at the moment - I know what that's like! Work was really stressful this week and all I wanted to do was stuff myself with carby rubbish 24/7, and although I've not done that, I've not been totally good either.... but we 've just got to try and keep going haven't we

    b - flax bread, sausage
l - usual salad and meat and cheese combo
d - prob asda's pork shank ready meal with some sliced green beans

Oh shykins - I keep forgetting - we finally tracked down that "crustless quiche" in Asda - but somewhat bizarrely, Asda's idea of "crustless" means no pasty around the sides, just on the base!:rotfl: And it was quite pricey for a very small quiche - so if I were you, I really wouldnt bother xx

Sue when you off to barcelona? Lucky you:)

Have a good friday everyone  Wanna look into making my own paneer at the weekend... gosh I lead such a exciting life:D :rotfl:

    Much love to all,
    Sazzy xxxxxxxxx

  • Hi all, yeah, I was wondering where Ted was too! If it wasn't for his other thread on exercise I wouldn't have discovered all this new stuff about fat/protein being good, carbs bad and I wouldn't have found you lot! :D Always thought Atkins/low carb was about eating loadsa artery clogging, heart attack inducing fast food, cheese, butter etc. I thought whole grains were the way to go.
It's weird cos I'm still getting used to it (it's only day 5 I s'pose), automatically still bn buying skimmed milk, for instance. I had fried breakfast today for the 1st time in years and I felt a bit sick seeing all that fat but I guess if you've breakfasted on cereal for years you can expect a bit of an "adaption phase"! Just reminded myself of all that I've read (also I will eventually get round to getting G. Taubes' book but I've heard it's a biggy and I'm not gonna have time to read anything other than work-related stuff for a while!)
Anyhow, BIG RELIEF as boyfriend not bn made redundant. Phew. Friends coming and staying overnight as I graduate tomorrow, therefore, I'm off to try Mercy's choc biscuits now! Will report back after taste test.

Well I had scrambled eggs (3 eggs!) and fried mushrooms this morning... had an excellent interview and treated myself to a small cornish pasty and some "turkey" slices on the way home (I should hear about the job by the end of the day ).

Dinner tonight is going to be a meal with the lodgers at a Si Chaun (Chinese) restaurant just outside of town - they do fresh sushi amongst other things, so should be an experience...
