  • HI Guys

Brilliant forum, great support and advice.

Just started Atkins today after many years of being overweight. Had the book in the cupboard (probably for about 5 years!)

Must say I do 'believe' in the low carbs way of eating but after so many years of being told the opposite it is hard to let go. (A bit like abseiling and trusting the rope will actually hold you!! )

Anyway, I've got about 60lb to loose so I shall be here for some time I expect.

    welcome yellow tuesday :)

well done everyone whos seeing losses - i seem to be losing and gaining the same pound over and over once again :(
and ive been good - well for me at least !!

brekkie - 2 poached eggs and butter
lunch - salad parma ham cheese olives and ceaser dressing - so lush
dinner - left over roast beef dinner

snacks - pate and cucumber and a cracker with butter

re. supper - depends what time i eat my evening meal - if its later then i have my snack around 4 ish when im making the pack ups but if it is going to be earlier then i have my snack later at supper time
also depends on if we have anything for dessert - if we have dessert then i dont have supper generally

Well I am feeling organised - have packed myself a proper lunch for work tomorrow! First time I've ever done that on low-carb (usually just take a carrier bag of ingredients and leave them under my desk until they go off!):

    - Two romaine lettuce wraps with eggless mayonnaise, fresh basil, braised tofu, spinach and black olives
    - Two "fish" fingers (OK, they're not very low-carb but they are high in protein)
    - One hard-boiled egg (those chickens are still doing well!)
    - Small pot of plain greek yoghurt

That might sound like quite a lot, but that'll see me from 7am to 6pm

Tomorrow's my big day, you see - should FINALLY be hearing back from that darn job interview I did back in November! so I can finally hand my notice into work and start planning my daily life for the rest of the year...

Best o luck badger lady! Be thinking of you and sending good vibes. :D

    Today
    B - sausies
    L - HM curry
D - Drumsticks cauli and cabbage
snack (eaten around suppertime :)) Bakewell tart

On a very different note, feelin a bit 'congested' :o Any advice? Fybogel just isn't a miracle cure and senokot tabs are pretty useless. I know there's been discreet discussion before but I can't find it. I think it was carried out in whispers

    Cheers!

Good luck badger. Fingers crossed! :)

Sue....very jealous, lol. I could do with a weekend away myself.

My youngest is STILL on the flippin' couch this morning, she's been knocked for 6 with this bug and as she's just a skinny wee petite thing I think it's taken a lot out of her. I'm sooooo bored though and just wander between the 'puter and her shouting 'Mum'. I can sense a hungry day coming on.......

  • Hi all, well yesterday completed my 1st day of Paleo Diet, didn't struggle at all, surprisingly. This has to be the 1st time in my entire life that I haven't ate sugar or grain in a 24hr period, so it's quite a big deal I suppose. You guys must be so proud of yourselves! :D
Saying that, how long is it before the terrible night sweats and seeing babies crawling across the ceiling starts? LOL

So I get to do my menu for yesterday, yey.......!

    B-2 egg omelette & 2 turkey rashers. 1 plum, 1 tangerine

    L-Tuna mayo and feta salad

D-Beef and veg stew with mashed parsnips and roasted celeriac. 1 half frozen mashed banana with drop of vanilla essence.

Evening snacks-protein shake (soya milk), few bits of left over beef and veg, few bits of beef jerky (weird stuff, too chewy, don't think I like it!):T
