badger good news about the insurance what happened about the job?
So I've lodged an appeal and there's a big meeting today to agree on the suitability of the job - I've got a pretty strong case and my boss who came back from sickleave yesterday is backing me up (his point of view was "well I don't know how to do that job either, so who's gonna train you? I'd rather have a vacancy and recruit someone who's experienced").
If the outcome today goes my way, they either have to find me a better job internally (which is very possible) or write me a cheque.
Now, my external interview last week went very well and the recruitment agent said she got "the best feedback she's ever had" - they've asked me to come back for a 2nd interview but they're going to see someone else next week first. I really hope they can get a move on and sort it out before Christmas! I'm flying away to see the family on 19th...
I have found a 2nd hand car I like, and am going to see it / hopefully drive it home on SaturdayThen on Tuesday I've got my new lodger arriving from Mauritius into Bristol airport, so that'll be fun! He's never been to the UK before.
Shykins, I bet you're sorry you asked now! :rotfl:Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Sorry, can I just ask, is cream cheese the same as soft cheese or is it on the cheese counter?
(was trying to look on Tesco web site but no cream cheese showing:o )

newish dont apologise ask ALL u want we all have to start somewhere, cream cheese is like philadelphia (but u can get own brands cheaper) and u will find it with the cheese on the counters near the primula etc (which is also lowcarb)
i am SOOOO bored <sigh>.. cant get up if i get any more bored i will have to resort to daytime tv

aww, newish2this - I wouldn't worry too much about reading everything! - you can definitely skip all of my posts which are for the most part either a) drivel, b) whingeing, or c) both!:o:D
And good luck with the low carbing:)
Afternoon my lovelies :hello:
Bizzy Sazzy at work today. Trying to get everything tied-up before me and Gilly's Great Four-Day Weekend commences tomorrow. Hurrah! :j Gotta hot-tail it outta here at 6ish and go meet mum at M&S - they've got another one-day 20% sale today, just in case that's of interest to you guys:)
Had some lovely beef brisket (done in the slow cooker) last night - it's on offer at Asda at the mo. Usual salady stuff, h/m coleslaw and cold meat with me for lunch today. Dinner tonight - not sure yet.
The editor is off to Brazil for Christmas - alright for some innit?!
Good luck with the meeting today, Badger Lady xx
