Shykins I've lost 53lbs altogether now so in english I'm 3lbs short of my 4th stone lost:o
well after my illicit brekkie I have settled on an almost saintly ham salad for lunch.Stomach ache is on its way so I thought it would be better if I was good for the rest of the day:rotfl:
HC hope the hangover wasnt too bad and that you get to enjoy your pricey strawberries today. With cream of course:T

Lesley, you must feel and look like a totally different woman! :T:T:T:T:T:T
The strawberries (in sugar-free jelly) with extra-thick double cream were divine!Even with a slight hangover.
I'm going out to lunch tomorrow but, as I weigh on Tuesdays, that's a big incentive to be good. My goal when I started in mid-Sept was to lose 2 stone by Christmas. I've got 5 pounds more to go, and I hope to have lost one or two of those this week, cross fingers.
I do seem to be hungrier more often lately though. Maybe it's the weather; maybe my blood glucose is a little higher because I've upped the vegetables; don't know. I'm trying to treat myself with small portions of really yummy things, to stop myself feeling deprived. Hence the out-of-season-strawberries, and steak Diane last night too. If/when I stop this diet, my local supermarkets are going to see a sharp decline in their sales of double cream.
What a horrible, miserable day. Grey, gloomy, dark and raining here in deepest Berkshire. And what a shocker that Ruth went out of X Factor last night! Why is that little blond chap still in (I won't even attempt to spell his name)?

Are All Calories Created Equal?
The traditional calories-weight loss dogma gets turned on its head.
While I'm here I'll also suggest that folks may find Jimmy Moore's interview with Dr Spears interesting. Talking ‘Toxic Fats’ With Dr. Barry Sears But don't get carried away by Spears hype for his own brand omega 3. You can buy molecularly distilled enteric coated omega 3 far cheaper elsewhere. But I found it interesting to hear someone else chuntering on about inflammation. I wonder if anyone here remembers what are the 3 most important anti inflammatory agents and what are effective intakes of those supplements? My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

I'm right with you - 53lbs gone. I lost 50lbs and then came to a halt for over a month but it's just started moving again, thank goodness!0 -

Ted, sometimes I simply have no idea what you're on about, with your long words ('molecularly distilled enteric coated omega 3'?).
But thank you all the same for links to often very informative articles. You're a fab source of scientific confirmation of what we're doing here.
Mojisola, wow, you must be almost half the woman you were! How do you feel when you look in the mirror?
Went for lunch with old friend while kicking my heels in London while DD was at uni interview - she took me to a lovely little rustic place in Kensington. Dishes of every vegetable (stuffed and otherwise) and salads, in every combination that you could choose and imagine, and some fishy/chickeny/quichey things as mains. You chose whatever you like and they heated up the things that should be heated up. I was tempted, but I was v v good.
AND she said how slim and gorgeous I was! Made my day. (It's all comparative, though!)
Shykins, my brain is set on going back to normal eating habits (diminished ones, hopefully) when I've lost all the weight I want to lose. I know that's not right and that I should stick with the basic plan long-term - like you have - but how can I get out of this mindset?0 -
hc just remind yourself this is for life, do u want to go back to how u were?... remember eating 'normally' is what made u fat so going back to 'normal' will make u fat again.... thats not to say u cant ever have treats just in the main eat lowcarb as u have been
i occasionally splurge (this holiday being one such time) but i get straight back to it when i return so i go back to my goal weight i dont EVER want to be big again
congrats to all the big losers amongst us
