Did anyone behave themselves over the weekend?
That would be a "No" from me
For the past few weeks, DD has been visiting us for her Sunday roast, with new boyfriend in tow. I've been cooking to impress, making puds and cakes and biscuits - and being totally unable to resist a few carb-laden nibbles. Plus a few sherries to aod the cooking process. Needless to say I've been stalled for a while!
Luckily, she's back at Uni full-time in 2 weeks and hopefully I'll be back on track.

Wow, that sounds fabulous! Especially with such gloomy, miserable weather here. I've only ever had a long weekend in Cairo, and it was an extraordinary place. Cross fingers that your doc gives the OK.
I've just booked a few days in Florence for next spring. Nice to have something to look forward to. :j0 -
Weighed this morning, and hadn't lost any. Serves me right.
Just went into WH Smith and found one single solitary copy of the IPD Cookbook staring at me. :j:j:j:j:j:j:jMust be the only copy in England, since I've tried everywhere, including the publishers.
I grabbed it, even though I had to pay full cover price (instead of a bargain from Play or Amazon) - grrr!
Thanks for the info about Rose Elliot, Tink. I've put her LC cookbook on my Christmas list.
Found some lovely sausages in Sainsbury's yesterday - 0.6g carb/100g.0 -
The Definitive Guide to the Primal Eating Plan Although this isn't a "Weight Loss" plan most of what I have read so far applies to low carbohydrate eating over the long term.
For weight loss a slightly lower carb intake, of between 60-100g, should be fine.
Previously in this thread I've tried to explain about the role of leptin and leptin resistance in appetite control. You may find you understand this issue a lot better if you follow the 3 blogs about Leptin and Lectins starting from Sunday, April 6, 2008 here I was reading this blog and it was from here I found the link to Mark's Daily Apple above. Scroll down the page to find the first of the 3 leptin blogs. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

This was an interesting read. He seems to talk a lot of sense. I followed some links and ended up at some lovely-sounding recipes using almond flour too.
