I may have some good news tomorrow (again)
HeeheeGirls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

I've lost alot of weight this week. But official weigh day is in the morning so it don't count. Even if I put 2 lb on today I'll be V happy.
Thanks to all who are enjoying my loved-up-ness with Saz.
She's changed my life forever.

I think I've mentioned the fact I've been using coconut oil in place of olive oil before but these new bits of research show that it may be one of the reasons why I've found it so easy to lose weight and not regain it.
I've just weighed a level tablespoon of coconut oil as 18 g. As the virgin coconut oil may have a more pronounced and distinct coconutty flavour you may find you need to get used to it and be careful not to get it too hot if you are frying with it. (It spits and messes up the cooker and some people object to the smell of hot coconut oil)
Coconut oil contains roughly 65% MCT's so ideally to match the MCT trials below you would need 2 tablespoons of coconut oil/daily. I use about 2 tsps to fry my breakfast and then usually use some more when I'm cooking the evening meal. It's great for preparing curries. Although I prefer the flavour of the virgin(£6.00+ pot) where I do want a coconut taste, when I don't want everything tasting of coconut I use the cheapo stuff from the Indian corner shop (£1.50 pot)

Hi are you a newbie here ? if so welcome :T
Yes I am. Before the birth of baby 20 mths ago, I lost 2 stone, and was well within my healthy weight range. After having him, I was only a stone over that, but I put on over a stone more since then.
I lose half a stone over the last month or so on low carbs, but I've put a few pounds on as I've noshing white bread like it's going out of fashion and rice pudding and chips (not together). So I'm back on it as of tomorrow, and I'll spend the first weaning myself off bread again.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

- but apart from that, it's ok;):D Only joking, ted:D. I'm on to part 3 of The Diet Delusion, yes I know it's taking me forever lol but I have very few opportunities for reading in a normal week:rolleyes:. The stuff about insulin and overweight I'm reading now though is really interesting.
Hi and welcome gravitytolls :hello: and hi to everyone :hello:
Well yesterday I was new lowest weight since low carbing - 9st10, but 2 pounds back on this morning lol so i dunno
I'm really tired this morning. The weekends are just never long enough are they? Looking at the 2 litre bottle of water on my desk and willing some of it to evaporate:o
shykins when are you off on your hols hun? lesley - well done on the loss! :T You're so right - gilly is such a tart - and notice he says "changed his life" - ie not necessarily for the better:D:D Please go easy on the cat!:D
Had fun trying out our new grinder. Made a big batch of instant flax bread yesterday with the remaining ready-ground flaxmeal, so next time I can start grinding flax from fresh which will be much better of course from a nutritional standpoint. Gilly also splashed out on a stick blender, so we can have some lovely smooth soups to ward off the winter chill.
Daisy - in my lunchbox today I've got salad, h/m coleslaw and a some slices off a gammon joint cooked in the slow cooker on saturday. Dinner tonight probably braised beef and veggies, also done in the slow cooker, with some cauli 'rice' to soak up the juices. Oooh, must also say that last night we had bangers and mash, low carb stylee: low-carb chipolatas and celeriac mash, (or 'champ' as I call it), with some sauteed sliced leeks, butter and a dash of unsweetened soy milk stirred in. IMO celeriac mash needs a bit more help, flavour-wise, than mashed spuds - but plentiful twists of s&p and some nutmeg seemed to do the trick.
Right, I suppose I better get on with pretending to do some work:D:rolleyes:
Have a great day everyone
Much love,
