Sorry I didn't come on yesterday and tell you news.
It's not a bun in the oven. It's just that I lost SIX POUNDS last week.
I've now lost 2 1/2 stones in total. Although 16lb was pre Atkins diet.
Oh but I've eaten a whole tub of single cream tonite......I missed my Saz.
Good luck to you all
xxxGirls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

How did the dinner go, Sazzy?
Wow, 6lb is fantastic, Gillette. You must feel gooooood! :T
Lesley, just to echo what the others have said about your scales - I'm sure you've lost the weight. It's just a case of going from 12st to 11st, rather than 11st to 10st, if you see what I mean.
Yesterday I had:
B: sausages and mustard
L: roast chicken saladroast chicken (had a pack of two legs in fridge!), spinach with cream, butter and Parmesan, cauliflower mash, cabbage
S: small lump each of Cornish Cruncher and Brebirousse Argent (if there's a heaven, these two cheeses will be there)0 -
Morning everyone :hello: *Saz squints at screen and reaches for the neurofen* Urgh... my head!:o Hi HC :hello: Well I better 'fess up straight away to having an emergency pre-arrival vodka and slim last night, and then a glass of champagne and two glasses of dry white during dinner:o:o But, the evening went off ok in the end. My boss made a nice speech about me - he left out most of the really incriminating stuff lol:D And we only had to pose for a photo when we received our awards... so although I was a bag of nerves, it wasn't too bad.
I tried to be fairly good with the food. Starter was smoked salmon with a sour cream and dill sauce I think. Main course was lamb, but I didn't eat the dauphinoise potatoes, peas or carrots that came with it. I had a little taste of the thin layer of plums on top of the plum tarte tatin that was dessert, but left all the pastry. By that stage I was actually quite full, but I made room for a nibble of the cheese that came round! HC I think my heaven would be entirely made from cheese!:D
It was nearly half midnight when my taxi arrived home, so I'm feeling rather tired this morning, as well as delicate. Lol I can't hack alcohol anymore - must be old age!:o:D
And my lovely gilly was waiting up for me. He's so good - he made my lunch again for today, which I think is salad, h/m coleslaw with some gammon and corned beef. Dinner tonight will be pork chops and leeks.
We ordered a coffee grinder at the end of last week so I'm hoping it will arrive soon, then I can get on with making a big batch of flax bread. I wondered if shykins or anyone else has had any success with scaling-up the recipe for the instant flax bread, to make a larger quantity at a time? Or does it only work in small quantities? Not a problem if that's the case, after all it takes no time to make, but just wondered...
Right, I better get on. Have a good day everyone and wrap up warm if you go out:)
Much love,

Right, day 2 of induction.
Breakfast: 3 egg cheese omelette and a mug of fruit tea, supplements
Snack: couple of oopsies with butter and marmite
Lunch: last piece of leek quiche with lettuce and cucumber
Snack: couple of small cheeses
Dinner: tuna steak with stir fry, coffee with cream
Am drinking lots of fruit tea in place of water - it's so cold I prefer the warming drinks to plain water, but still trying to drink as much water as I can.0 -
saz so glad it wasnt as bad as u thought it was going to be and it sounds like u did ok with the food... oops hope i wasnt talkin too loud hehe
never scaled up the instant bread sorry but i would think it would work with double the quantity as long as u used a similar depth container... iusually make it then freeze it cos i dont use that much
ok confession time took ds to the free (very MSE) ice rink this morning so i said ok lets treat ourselves to a brunch, got this lovely egg, bacon and sausage at the cafe.. they gave us 2 slices of toast too so i said ok will just have a nibble OMGGG british toast at its best i ate the whole slice... so much for induction!! i am annoyed with myself i really am cos i rarely ever eat bread grrrr me!!!
go along with cheese is heaven brigade lol. thats the one reason i could never stick with SW and i can with atkins is the ability to have cheese!!

Tinkers, have you tried drinking hot water? I love warming my hands on it in this weather, and sipping it throughout the day. Mind you, I've never been keen on drinking things cold...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
