Well, I've just had a chat with a very nice lady at O2 about the lack of charger. She was well aware of the problem and said there was a note on their system saying that 700 units were sent out without chargers - everyone will be getting one sent out, and should receive them by Monday. Hurray!

While I was on, I also asked about the possibility of moving my old Vodafone number over to them and she said it was really easy - I just have to ask Vodafone for a PAC number, then give that to O2 and Robert is your fathers brother (I think!). Apparently it doesn't cost anything - and its taken me two years to learn my old number, so I didn't want to have a new one to learn!

ordered mine on the same day this offer was on, tried to place an order 6-7 times, everytime kept getting emails saying sorry order not accepted. still no emails from O2 at all but on checking my credit card online i there is a charge of £14.99 by O2...

after reading that there are no chargers and that the fone is LOCKED..i dont think i want it now..lets see..

as per me, i would like the fone unlocked coz i have my reasons : what i feel is, O2 is not universally recognised company like Vodafone & orange. Vodafone and orange sim cards (not UK network but local network) are available in every corner of the world (i have bought them abroad in 4 countries). i mean i know people who have used O2 network in places like cornwall and it dont show network..you see....so i WOULD surely have this fone unlocked...

This locked or unlocked business, if the 02 package is really good anyway why is it so important for it to be unlocked? Because I know nothing about phones I still don't know the importance of locked or unlocked.

My charger came today (NOT the free one).

Now, I'm charging the phone, can I have a fiddle with it (ooh matron) once it's charged? I don't have to register it or add money to it do I first before fiddling lol?

please read my above message + if the fone is unlocked you can use any local sim card even while you are abroad..

Thats good news Stumpy, if O2 could send out 700 emails to their customers telling them a charger is on its way then no one will be left in the dark as to the solution. We wait and see!

Someone I know who ordered the phone, said that theirs has been delivered - a sim card with no phone.:eek: Hope they are only joking.
