I'd like to start by saying well done to everyone that has managed to lose weight! You all spur me on
ok i've just turned 22 last week, and been over weight all my life, i tried dieting for my wedding in June just past, but only lost a little!
Does anyone have any tips for me? I just seem to always binge specially when i know i've done well i think "i'll start again later"
ARGH!!!
i got a wii for my birthday it's been keeping me pretty active, and i look after two toddlers so i get a little excersice i'm just too self conscious to go to the gym!
Anyhoo ranting over
look forward to get to know you all better
nutty xx
Hi nutty - welcome to the thread.I know how you feel, having been overweight all my life too, but you've recognised what the problem is, so that's a good start.
Victory wrote a really good list of tips that you may find useful - there's a link here.
You don't need to go to the gym to exercise, having 2 toddlers should keep you busy anyway, but there are lots of things you can do with them - brisk walking with a buggy burns lots of calories, so you could include a walk to the park into your daily routine.
Joining a slimming club is an effective way to lose weight - the thought of facing the scales each week can focus the mind, but you can do it on your own if you want to. This thread is great - you can still have the weekly weigh in at home, and post your results here. You can get advice, support, sympathy, even a boot up the bum if you want one!
How much do you need/want to lose?

Hi all
Well, I'm on day three with SW and it's going well so far, filling in a food diary is really helping. Eating out doesn't help though! I had a working lunch and chose tuna nicoise, which was ok, but had to calculate syns for about 2 potatoes, 3 olives and a touch of salad dressing! I was really tired when I got in from work, so DH suggested going to the Harvester - I had spitroasted chicken and salad from the cart, so I'm feeling a bit like I've overdosed on salad, but it's all ok on SW. Really want another glass of wine now, but I haven't got enough syns left, so I'm sticking to water.
Delly - have you given up on SW? Sorry to hear about the gain, but well done for getting back on the wagon. :T
KPC - I love the combined deli/Ann Summers party idea! AS parties can be great fun, or absolutely dire, and it's all about the mix of people - 20 somethings and 60 year olds don't really work, as Vix knows!
Vix - don't worry about approaching birthdays, live for the present, at 22 you've still got loads more birthdays to come. :j
Hoping to pursuade DH to go to see Mamma Mia at the cinema this weekend - everyone keeps telling me it's great but he's not convinced. Maybe I need to find another female to go instead...
Catch you later.

Hi,
Sorry for not posting earlier, I've been away for a while (and am going away again tomorrow). It's been an uppy downy sort of time weight wise, but overall I've managed a 2lb loss! That's been over the last couple of weeks though. Please could you keep me on the chart.
I'm now down to the heaviest I was pre-pregnancy, so I've lost from here to 10st 2 before. Hopefully I can do that again and more this time! Finally had hair done (13.5st treat) - it's now curly:D . Felt like I was an alien when I had to explain that I hadn't had a haircut for six years though - they looked at me as if I had just sprouted antennae and then proceeded to interrogate me as to why.
I have tried to catch up with all your posts but there are far too many of them. Well done again all you loosers and maintainers.£2008 in 2008 member 552 £1947 to go! (started 20/1/08) Total wins £61
Weight loss since April 2008 - 14lbs a whole stone!:j0 -

omg what a night
My ds (15) went out on his bike with a friend and at 9.30pm his friend came to my house saying my ds was knocked off his bike but ran away holding his arm and he couldnt find him so i was in complete panic trying to find him , found him eventually he rang me from another friends house. so took him to hospital to get checked over , luckily barring a chunk out of his little finger and being in shock he is fine (thank god) but that 1hr of not knowing where he was , was the worst 1hr of my life , after seeing the car and bike he has been very very luckly , the police have just left after taking a statement and i'm writing this in so much relief i cant tell you. i had took his mobile from him that morning as a punishment for his behaviour and all i kept thinking was why did i do that its weird but we parents always blame ourselves.
my food has gone to pot but will fix that from tomorrow for now i'm gonna have a glass of wine and try and relax.
