.... hot fish yoghurt, no less KPC! Hmmm, I miss you - I want to own you again.
Ello everybods peeps! It's been a bit of a while since I was here, and that was deliberate - it was the intention to ignore LW totally from Friday until now, and I am pleased to say I succeeded with distinctionThe last thing I wanted to do was come on here, read about all you people doing great LW things and feel like I was letting the side down... so I ignored you to avoid feeling guilty about going on a splurge
It would take ages to catch up with everything so, in the words of David Devant And His Spirit Wife, "I'm Not Even Going To Try". I've only read the last page and this one. What I did find scared me though......THere are more than 1,200 cals in one pizza, don't do it:eek:
...  victory, that's soooo wrong! You can't be telling a ninja turtle not to have pizza. Would you tell Paddington not to have marmalade sandwiches? Would you tell Garfield not to have lasagne? Nooo, of course not. A turtle's gotta eat what a turtle's gotta eat. Turtle power Raph!
As I haven't been around, I'm gonna waffle to make up for it. All you have to do is skip to the next message, it ain't difficult. Last Friday saw the return of the big annual golf match (Dudley vs Halesowen, all the celebs are talking about it) - it's the challenge between the Presidents' chosen teams and afterwards there's a three course meal. That saw the start of the weekend's splurge. We won, the first time we've ever beaten Halesowen AT Halesowen so the wine flowed fairly freely on top of the three course meal. Oh god, what was all that about? I'd called them up a week before to say that I was veggie and didn't eat fish and so could they adjust my meal accordingly? When my starter came out, it was melon chunks and ice cream!!! I thought "Fot the wuck am I supposed to do with that, eat it now or save it for after my main?!?!?!".
Anyway, Saturday was the first day for 6 months that MrsA has been allowed to have a drink so we went for it big style. As soon as the clock ticked 12:01pm (anything earlier would be trashy) out came the wine. I had two bottles in the afternoon (she only had one, the jessy) and then we headed over to the golf club for tea as there was a barbecue on. To accompany my 6 pints of bitter I had four giant white burger buns which each had two Quorn burgers on. It was ok though as I put salad on all of them, which means they didn't have any calories.
I don't remember much about Sunday except that I had four pints of pear cider while watching the final round of The Open. Padraig, I'm impressed!
On Monday we shared a meal-deal from the pizza shop. Bargain really - for a tenner you get a 12" pizza of your choice, an 8" pizza style cheesy garlic bread, a large bag of fries, coleslaw (they'd run out so we had 10 onion rings instead) and two cans of pop. With that came a bottle of wine each.
Last night we had four bottles of Magners cider to watch with The F Word and Big Brother. OMG, has anything ever been funnier than:
<much screaming>
Mikey: What's happened?
Stuart: Becks has cut her hand in the pool
Mikey: What pool?
... surely not? I spluttered a mouthful of cider all over Baileydog, poor thing wondered !!!!!! was going on.
Anyway, that was that. I never want to see beer or junk food again as long as I live and I'm over the splurge.
So, here we are and I'm back with you guys although I do have a confession. I kind of know how a bloke feels now when he tells his wife about his bit on the side. <Hangs head in shame> I started using another forum. I couldn't do without some kind of interaction so I have been posting on the 606 forum on BBC Sport. But, but the BBC means nothing to me, honest... it's you guys first, always has been. Can I come back? I'll do anything. Please?
Oh, and there was a hilarious webpage I found yesterday which was an American's attempt to transcribe an album's worth of Half Man Half Biscuit lyrics. I was laughing so hard I almost cried. None of you know what I'm rambling about do you? I'll leave that then, except to say to Stanley Unwin of America...... I salute you. You're as hilariously pointless and useless as anyone I've ever encountered, and your attempts to understand Scouse have me rofling. (I'm sure he's just a STanley Unwin rather than the Stanley Unwin).
Anyway.... ooooh yeah, weigh-in. Fairly surprised to have only gained 2lbs this week mrs chartkeeper.0 -
Raph - congrats on the 25 mins run!
I love hearing about new personal bests on here! Going for 30 mins next?!
I've only just upped the time to 25 mins!! I'm going to keep at 25 mins for the next 6 weeks or so, until I do a few more complete 25 mins, then up it to 30. To think I used to have to push myself to reach 10 mins!!

:rotfl:Hahahaha
Good job you didn't post this last night, or I would have given in!
In the end I had poached eggs on toast and went to bed. I think the problem was that I was so tired, too tired to stand up and cook. It got to the point I almost didn't bother with dinner and was just going to get into bed, but I realised that wasn't a good idea!
I've decided I need some sort of reward chart, like a sticker chart for kids :rotfl:Every time I run the full 25 minutes I give myself a £1. Only when I've got enough £1's to order a pizza, then I shall treat myselfWill take about 16 times I think.

Welcome crazychatter, I follow the weightwatchers plan but also don't attend the classes, it just costs too much. £5 a week is quite a lot for a 20year old trying to pay for a car and rent etc. The classes are good for support but so is the forum which is FREE!!0

Jeepers, Raph - how big a pizza did you have in mind!!
An wouldn't it be better to save them until you have lost, say, a stone then treat yourself to a new top or skirt or something?

I am exactly the same - I don't even read the thread when I have gone off the rails, a bit. The only difference is that when i go off the rails, I do it properly so I have to admit a 5lb gain this week. I seem to be yo-yoing a lot at the moment and I don't mind that (as long as you don't mind seeing these stupidly large ups and downs on the chart). I am sticking to the exercise though, which is great. Still managing 5km runs 3 times a week and have cycled 45km in the last week on my new bike too so I am still on track with that. I am still around the same weight that I was in January (which I am happy enough with) but 5lbs up and down ever other week is not great maintaining :rolleyes:0 -

I'm going to try to stick to the SW plan, I know it works but I have a new boyfriend since I stopped going and don't want to look silly, just have to try my best I suppose.
I tried bribing myself to walk to work last year, it worked long enough to get me into the habit so good luck Raphael!
Efrieze! that much exercise is amazing! you've inspired me!0 -
