YoungBean - depending how much jip that knee is giving you, might it be worth a visit to the Doc? I'd hate to think your exercise might make it weaker.

So today has been a really good day, although it was busy with other stuff, I managed to do 21 mins out jogging (3km), 15 mins cross trainer, 60 mins exercise bike and 15 mins wii fit :D

I think my lateral thigh trainer has now become obsolete so I'll be looking for a new home for it, and then I'll probably cave in and get a treadmill for the winter months :)

    Happy weekend everyone!

p.s. Mark Cavendish for President ;)

yes mark has done really well.

Although now its not passing through where i live its not so interesting! Although the race is absolutly amazing, i just cant believe they can go that fast for so long. Infact, i probably have a video of the bikers from last year going past, i might try and dig it out.

negative, it must be on the main comp.

But i dont wanna dissapoint, so here is me in a tour de france hat haha. We bought it in a pack with some stickers cos before the riders there are loads of promo vehicles giving out stuff ect. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=780151&id=635440467
p.s I dont have a cod eye, just looks like it in the pic :p Its well funny looking back at that pic, that was only a year ago and i feel like a total different person (and looks wise)

right, im working all weekend which is really pants. I obviously have no life cos here i am on a friday night, talking to a forum that is dead, working saturday and sunday and the worst thing of all: im sat here watching big brother. Argh!

Although one bloke in there is well good looking.

ok, ciao folks. have a good healthy weekend!

Hahahahahahaha - even more worrying for you vix is that my OH who is sitting next to me took one look at the photo and thought for a moment it was me:rotfl: (The funny thing is for the first brief second of looking at it I was really taken a back because so did I...)

Mark Cav for deity of the day

I got given a set of three TdF sun visors on one of the tours a few years ago (in the yellow, green & polka dot colours) - and this is the first year I've found a use for them as they're very handy to keep the sun off your face when out jogging! So far I've only worn the green one though ;) Perhaps I'll be wild & crazy and have a polka dot day today :D

Glad I kept them now - we sold most of our other TdF giveaways when I was in ebay mode earlier this year!

I'm currently using up the last of the food in my fridge & freezer - it's making for some interesting combinations :rotfl: Isn't it great to use up everything and then start afresh though :D

I'm doing exactly the same missy. Trying to keep under a certain budget for food this month and I have £6.50 to last the next 12 days:eek: . It makes you much more creative with what you've got lurking in cupboards and freezer. Also learning loads about cheaper cuts of meat from fab butcher.
Hoping to buy shoes for a wedding with xmas m&s vouchers today, plus meet up with bails later:j :j . OH is suddenly getting in to bike mode after being force fed the Tour every night (he still can't understand how if Cav has won 4 stages he isn't 'winning the race: trying to explain to him again makes me wonder if this is what it used to be like for blokes explaining the offside rule:rotfl: ) Anyway, he's going to de moth ball his and is suggesting we try the long seafront cycle routes 'for fun'. Am prepared to give it a go although a little nervous with my joint and energy levels. He won't be bale to collect his til next week though.

Hey all, woke up this morning at 9 and decided I wouldn't got to the gym today. By 10.15 I was there!! :rotfl:
I managed to beat my times on both the bike and rower, and was on track to run the full 25 minutes on the treadmill for the first time, but accidentally pulled the emergency stop cord  and it stopped at 23.11 mins.
I worked out that when I saw my mum last I weighed 15 stone 2.6 lbs, and if I reach my target by the end of the year she will see me 4 stone lighter!!! Talk about motivation :D I wanna make my mum cry (but in a good way!)

I've been out for a run (5km) before lunch, I'm getting slower :rotfl: although I was a bit distracted 'cos I could see some of the Red Arrows display :D

Are you going to be able to make do on your £6.50 for the rest of the month BB? Hope you've had a lovely day meeting our Bails and shoe shopping :D LMAO I'd love to hear you not-so-patiently explaining the TdF leader thing to your OH :rotfl:

Raph - oh no, sorry about the treadmill oops :o Well done on beating your personal bests on the other equipment though! :D Funny how these things sometimes happen when we're not really in the mood for exercising!

Kymrob, always a great achievement to STS when it's been a 'bad' week! Well done!

Over the last couple of weeks since I've put my calories up to 1500/day, I have spotted a bit of a pattern emerging. If I do approx 1.5 hours or less of serious exercise a day, I seem to STS or lose a bit, and if I do MORE exercise than this, weight shoots up by about 2lb a day (even though on extremely heavy exercise days, I put the cals up to 1700). Interesting.
