Hahahahahahaha - even more worrying for you vix is that my OH who is sitting next to me took one look at the photo and thought for a moment it was me:rotfl: (The funny thing is for the first brief second of looking at it I was really taken a back because so did I...)

Mark Cav for deity of the day

ha, its funny cos everyone says i look really young for my age, yet youre the second woman to have said they look like me!

My work pal is 55 i think. Or is she younger? who knows, but people ask if we are sisters. Ok for her, not so much for me!! I dunno, maybe its the fact i have older parents cos i can chat to cathy who is 55 odd the same as someone of 21 so maybe thats why people think im an old fogie, untill i open my gutter mouth :p £6.50 on food? 1p sweets for a week then!!

why is wake me up before you go go such an awesome song? I wish i was 18 when it was the 80's, just for a little while. The songs are the best, you just dont get songs that make you wanna dance so much. I would say "anymore" at the end of the sentence but that will make me sound like an old fart!

Im trying to be happy this evening cos work is PANTS. every 5 minutes being told to stay by the till even though there wasnt any customers near by, then being told off by some cow for chatting. I cant wait to tell them to stick their job up their buttocks.
Im working tomorrow and im going to take extra on my breaks and chat by that till alll sodding day. Ok end of rant!!

OH GOD, went shopping in my lunch hour and literally didnt have time to eat or anything. I went up to the next sale, then saw that jane norman had a sale and then river island had a sale so i bought 1 dress, 3 tops, a salt and pepper pot and 2 mugs :D I didnt try anything on but im going to take possibley 2 tops back, i'll show matt and get his advice. :T

bon jovi living on a prayer is apparently the no1 80's anthem. I do agree, its that belter you shout out when youre drunk at the weekend. Everytime i go out in my area they play this. Its a wonder im not sick of it by now. I fancy going clubbing now......... :j

Hope you meet that target raph!! but im sure she will ve very happilly surprised whatever you finally weigh when you see her!

    'allo 'allo ;)

    or should I say bonjour...?!

I'm back - France was lovely, the food was great, the wine was very slurpable, and I have to confess that my good intentions went straight out of the window, so I'm not looking forward to the scales tomorrow. However, I did have a great holiday, and I've come home with a new resolve so I'm not going to beat myself up about it.

I'm not even going to try to catch up with the thread, and as I've got a pile of washing to sort out, I'll just make this a quickie - I hope everyone's had a great week.

    Abientot!

Good to have you back Lois. And well done for not beating yourself up. Holiday are for living life at it's best I think.
And talking of hols - Suggs I think going on hols with all the kids could def become an affliated association to the 'we're not having a hol this year 'club:rotfl: . It is sooo good to hear of your increasing self belief in the food/exercise/wl balance:T .
Julesgr - well done on achieving the 5lb challenge:T . Now make it last to the end of the month :D . You can do it.
Vix, I didn't mean I looked as young as you are:rotfl: . OH though it was a photo of me when I was younger obviously. Though I have always looked young for my age too - when I was 25 a 14yr old boy asked me out, thinking I was in his school year:rotfl:  .
KPC, good luck with the job interviews - it would be great to get away from your current jon methinks.

Had a great time with bails at my place yesterday. I even let her sit in the plush purple throne from which I normally write to you all. She didn't say as much but I assume she was greatly honored by this...

OH still doesn't get the GC vs stage win thing missy:rolleyes: , but I think I making a general breakthrough - he actually complained when i suggested I would watch yesterdays recorded highlights ( trying to avaoid spoilers all evening)while he was at work today. So we watched them at 11 last night so he is getting hooked:D . Woohoo, the Alps today:j :j

As for whether I'll manage on the £6.50 - I'm going to give it my best shot to get as far as I can. I need to get 11 evening meals from what I have left and it may be just doable, but I don't want to end up with beans on toast, nor have I any interest in ready meal BOGOF's - got to be made from scratch for us really.
Raph - it is going to be sooo cool when you mum sees you at xmas! Can we all be flies on the wall please.
Off to have an early lunch of HM split pea and sw pot soup:A

I was 18 in the 80's, met OH at Polytechnic, loads of discos/parties together. The rest is history. 2 little monkeys and a dog later, still having fun.

Went on a bike ride together today, he's complaining his thighs ache :rotfl: We only popped to Sainsbury's and back (and the panniers are on my bike!!!) Since then I've been into town, done more shopping and cycled up all those bloomin' hills back home. 2 beers later he's having a riot watching Top Gear - goodness knows what's happening but I can hear his hoots of laughter from the other side of the house.

Heya, hope you had a great time. Who cares what the scales say!! I am a fan of france, probably the best night i had was when matt and i went to see the moulin rouge, a little tipsy and running to the station that was dead. Felt wild and free, bit like a film moment!!

What part of france did you go to? Did you fly? cos if you didnt you were near to where i live.

I tell you something folks, living in a religious town has its perks sometimes, but all these bishops walking about is a nightmare!!

Mum and dad saw two bishops doing their shopping in sainsburys this morning?? how bad is that? They might not have been bishops but obviously men of the loin cloth.

Today was boring at work, im going to be rolling in it with all this over time!!

Ive been a weird with food these past two days. Yesterday i missed on lunch and ate half of my dinner then today ive had frosties, 5 strawberrys and a packet of crisps, and then soup for dinner followed by a chocolate mousse. Perhaps my body just wants to live off the fat of the land for awhile.

    ITS FAR TOO QUIET HERE!!!!
