Yep Creative Labs Suggs
What happened to your one then? Mine suddenly went onto full volume for no reason (my poor ears) and then none of the buttons would work. Then it gave up completely. I'd only used it a couple of times
LesleyYour injury sounds awful, although not as bad as when I first read it and thought you had stabbed yourself in the EYE with a needle! That'll teach me for speed reading. Ouch. Is it any better today?
PLG, as has been said, I doubt that's a 'true' gainHopefully most, if not all, will be gone by next week now that you can settle into a bit more of a routine
Do you have your own place to live already or are you going to be looking?
Raph :rotfl: at the amended posts - my sentiments exactly0 -

Missy,
I hope not - I'm aiming to lose it by next week.
I'm at my mums at the moment. However, she has her house on the market (she broke up with her fiance) so it's a bit complicated. If she sells she's going to move in with my gran to save up money for a move abroad and OH and I are going to look for a flat in Glasgow. If she doesn't sell then OH and I are going to live here to save money. I hate not knowing what's going on - but am very keen to save money!
We've been looking in the papers for a job for OH - there's nothing decent around at the moment! I'll take a look online and hopefully something will turn up!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
PinkLipgloss - isn't is possible that your 'gain' is just the different between weighing yourself on different, perhaps less/more accuate scales in Glasgow rather than Japan? The true measure will be next week when you can properly compare like with like. Just a thought.0

[STRIKE]I would be[/STRIKE] My son would be happy to take part in any trialshehehe
PLG, aw, well I hope you'll soon feel as settled as possible under those circumstances! Good luck with the job hunting for OH(You can't have had much time to catch your breath and you're already job hunting, impressive!)
I had to reluctantly abandon the idea of swimming this morning because my ever growing "to do" list was getting out of control. I shall pay suitable penance later with an "uphill all the way" hour on the exercise bike.
Got son's sports day tomorrow morning so I'll have to be content with watching all the racing instead of doing any myself!0 -
Just got back from seeing Mamma Mia. Oh my! I am NOT an Abba fan but this was brilliantly done. I couldn't imagine a whole stage show / film done around the existing songs of one pop band. It is a true chick flick! Go see it! The cast was fantastic. If you don't have anyone to go with don't worry. Go by yourself (yep even you Ajax) and no one will notice. I cannot remember the last time I saw a cinema so full.
Glad you liked it! I saw the show version, and i could never see the film because i think it would ruin how i feel about the musical, and its still so fresh in my mind! The actresses in the london show were absolutly fab, and the three friends (the girls mums lot) were so funny and good that i dont think the film would even do them justice.
Talking of cinemas, i went to see hancock last night. It was OK but literally nothing more. It did look a bit silly in the trailer, a bit ott but there wasnt much of a story although it had potential.0 -
efrieze,
I was shocked when I read the scales so I asked OH to weigh himself - and he is exactly the same weight on both scales so unfortunately it appears to be an accurate wi! Noticed that my jeans etc are not as loose as they were - however I'll shift it no probs - I know I can do it!
missy,
It's all go!
I have to: organise an NI number for OH, check out if he can possibly transfer his acupuncture licence, job hunt (I might even get something temp for the next month before I start uni), send off my disclosure scotland application (need it asap as I'll be doing placements at uni), need to buy books from my course "essential reading list", organise bank accounts for us both, find a good deal for mobiles for us both and possibly find a flat (mum has someone coming to view her house tomorrow - and they have already sold their house so are in a position to buy asap).
Fun times! I must stop spending so much time hanging about MSE website :rotfl:"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0
