I have no idea, but our board guide has said 2000 posts approx from day one. In fact he pm'd me last night to remind me. Happy for you to take over, do you need some help? Did you not hand it over to me in the first place?? :)

    Hello Folks

I've actually asked the MSE Team to update the rule on long threads so that board guides are clear about MSE Martin's and MSE Webmaster's wishes. This could be one reason why some boards have threads with a maximum number of 1000, some have 2000 and some have over 6000 posts long.;)

Yes, I have asked Suggs to create a new 'Lose Weight 23' thread but as Suggs wants to take a break, it would be great if someone else volunteered instead.

    Thanks

it seems the trains to MK were suspended for 3 hours as some muppet decided to use the trains as target pratice with his gun up near rugby

    Prat

I'm happy to attempt the new thread if Lois changes her mind. Or maybe I can do the next one?

My old mentality would be "Sod it, I've had crisps now, I might as well have what I like", but I'm working hard to get over this, and am feeling confident. :D
That's the thing I struggled with at first. I have the odd treat when I feel I've deserved it, and as it's just a one off treat I don't feel guilty, just keep going with the diet.

I went to the gym today, was doing my usual routine, got on the treadmill as all the bikes were taken. As I got up to my usual 25 mins running I felt good and 'in the zone' so kept going! I ended up running 40 minutes straight and clocking it up to 5km :j
Didn't bother with the bike after that :rotfl:

Here I was getting mighty confused about Vix's photo and all the seemingly bizarre comments about nice glasses etc, and it turns out I was seeing a completely different photo
Congrats on the loss Windowshopper, great stuff :T And well done Rumbly for not letting the crisps ruin the whole day - I've slipped back into this mentality recently and as Raph says, treats are just that and don't mean the day is a write off *she reminds herself as much as anyone else :o*

Today is going well, although there are choc bars in the freezer calling me. I've been trying to work on having things in the house but have to accept that it's something I can't manage at the mo. Bulk buying is false economy sometimes
I went to my Body Balance class again today and am pleased to say it was a little easier. I reined myself in and didn't have to do all the advanced postures etc :rotfl:so hopefully I won't struggle as much in the next few days. I'm also having a hot stone massage this afternoon which'll help :j
Raph, 40 minutes, that's FANTASTIC!! :T There's nothing quite like being 'in the zone' :D I really admire your journey, you've just consistently got on with it, even when you haven't lost etc, and your results are a real testament to your dedication.

That is just it with treats for me, everyone else seems to be able to think that was nice and move on and carry on as normal, sometimes that is not me, I avoid them so much so that maybe that is what brings on 'that was nice, uhm, I will have another one and another one' not wanting the moment of pleasure to end and it ends in a mass empty the fridge binge day ruined the day, it is one extreme or the other for me so avoidance I do such al ot of the time to make sure that the over eating/binge/out of control moments are heavily monitored and kept into context, I guess I am not the little of what you fancy does you good girl because I start and there is no stopping me:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I don't think I could ever bring back into the house all that I used to eat, especially not on days like today where there is a combination of boredom, hungry, not ravenous but I would pick and pick and ruin it all:rolleyes:

  • delly, looking seriously sultry!
Peeps, you know that lovely wagon of ours: soft lush crimson drapes; fairy lights in one corner, a wii fit and gym in the other. I've fallen off it. Big time. Ate a whole pkt of custard creams at work, following yesterday eating remains of HM ice cream. Following day before's consumption of moist HM flap jack, following the day before's... you get the picture.:o On the plus side, planning a decent size walk at the weekend as we have to travel out of town to pick up a bookcase we've been offered on freecycle, so wanting to make the most of the petrol usage, as we'll be ain a particularly picturesque area.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • bleargh. slept most of the day and still feel poo. however, have defrosted the fridge and freezer so have done something constructive. OH got all masculine and refused to help me carry a bookcase up the stairs because i wasn't fit. He's grudgingly agreed to review the situation tomorrow. I may have to admit defeat and not go out on my rounds tonight - the thought of even loading the car makes me feel lightheaded. The real p$sser is though that my company doesn't do sick pay. I may pop over to the employment board and ask the question there actually. I am salaried so can they just dock my wages for the days I'm not there?

Surely you get statutory sick pay??
