I will be away in Brussels that weekend:( - sorry! I wonder if we should just do it for Xmas instead like last year? Mind you I just got up and still a little blurry so this might have already been discussed and discarded! If so just ignore!

ffm:j :j :j :j talking of the pickled onion strategy it is not quite the same but bought BOGOF snack a jacks the large ones in salt and vinegar, in the little packets the vinegar is mild and enjoyable but in the big circle rice ones it is very strong indeed:rotfl: :rotfl: tried to get OH to have one and he said it is like ripping your mouth out:rotfl: so I eat one and it puts me off even wanting anything normal let alone choc:D try it, they are very strong and I guess they are not supposed to surpress hunger or even put you off food but it works for me as they have to be eaten slowly so much vinegar in them:rotfl: :rotfl:
I so did the row-eat-misery-eat-bad day-eat,bored-eat anything eat really but I thought I was punishing OH for being mean to me and instead it was me because I weight gain with the over eating so it did not affect him at all:rolleyes:
Avoidance def works now, nothing is allowed in this house that is not low fat, low cal, fat free, healthy, needed, sugar free etc:D0 -

Hi Victory, fellow binger here. I've struggled with it too over the years and am now MUCH better than I used to be...luckily I've been very busy for years, doing long hours in a fairly physically active job where I couldn't eat between meals, so haven't ballooned more than I have.
I control it (sort of) by only preparing one of something at a time, washing & drying up, (food warm in oven) and having a food+drink, followed by 'something active' rule. After that, even if I don't manage the 'active' bit, I often can't be bothered to start the cook/wash-up process again. I think the French deffo have something with their almost ceremonious meals where they eat slowly/talk, etc.
Doesn't always work (or I wouldn't be 4+ stone over a BMI of 25, lol!) does help a fair bit though. With choc & crisps etc. I either don't have em in the house, or have Mr A hide them, works as long as he's out--but as I binge evenings mostly and he works 9-5, best not to buy em:o.
I am going to try that, although I reckon I do that now because I prepare all the veg, used to be the night before but now it is the same morning, the WW meal is in the microwave or made from scratch and has it's portion size, I only cook that knowing exactly how many cals there are and that I can eat that amount, clean down the kitchen as it is being served, eat it and then put the plate etc in the dishwasher ,on the side in the kitchen straight after dinner is always a sugar free jelly with fresh fruit and fromage frais or o% greek fat yog on top just incase I need it straight after or if I need it later I know where it is and it is already prepared.:D
All my spanish friends sit down to eat a massive meal at 2pm, they never over indulge or binge or feel the need to eat to excess, like you say about the french they just enjoy, chat, are with their family and friends and have an enjoyable experience, have a little rest and hten go back to work:D
The meal is always started with a fresh salad, the middle course is just caught off the boat fish and desert is fruit, all fresh, there is something to be said for fresh, cooked from scratch foods:D0 -

Funnily enough, I have eaten a fair few of these rice crackers in the last few days, and find that they are a weakness! Not the other way around. They are just so salty and vinegary - yummy.0 -
Aah, the free hugs got me too, especially the two little kids towards the end; bless!
