  • Maybe it's only the 'extra' smilies that show up?

Let me try a few, if there are any crosses that was not the answer.

  • Okay, let me try that again, but not including any of the 'generic' smilies from the top section.

  • Aha! so that's it - it's the 'generic' ones that are up the shoot.

  • FFM, the threesome is one of my 'extras' i.e. not quickly available to the right on the message writing bit?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

You're right, I hadn't appreciated that the 'generic' ones in the top section were those to the right of the screen.

My son is the oldest in his class BB but he would have been youngest if he'd arrived a bit closer to his due date

Just like my DD! She was 23 days late, due on 12th August but didn't arrive until 4th September, and has spent all her life with the feeling that she was a year behind. She was ready for school at 4 and would have coped well, and fortunately got a hard to come by full time nursery place so she didn't get too bored.

It was a huge thing for me LL - I was very aware of this 'lucky chance' that meant I got into the year above, so I'm interested to know you're daughters experience. It's only with hindsite I think actually it affected my confidence always being 'last' to achieve amy milestone (I was also the youngest in my family & extended family) -so always have had that sense of trialing behind.

    Hi all

Well after saying he had settled in really well something spooked Morgan and he has spent nearly the entire evening hiding under a kitchen cabinet. He has been out a few times and lapped up all the attention and then gone back under. Just a little worried as he hasn't used his lit tray yet and don't want any deposits under the unit! I hope the saying 'you don't poo on your own doorstep' is true!

Before we picked Morgan up this morning I went for a run with my friends and I'm happy to say I managed 2K without any problems. Felt I could do more but didn't want to push myself too far. After no exercise for a couple of months I was incredibly smug!

Mind you after our flood during the week I tried my weighing scales to see if they were working and they seemed fine. In fact they said I had lost three pounds. I was really made up and spent all day yesterday feeling very pleased with myself and telling Mum how my clothes felt looser. Then this morning I was boasting to my OH and jumped on them to show him - and they said I'd put on five pounds! Turns out the blooming things are broken and can put on/take off anything up to 5 pounds at a time!

I was wondering about the smilies too! Glad I'm not the only one!

Thinking of you Delly and welcome to Gert and the other newbies.

Oh and Missy say Happy Birthday to your son for yesterday from me!:bdaycake:
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

    Hi all

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Raph - congratulations to you and C - it's so lovely to have a romance amongst the LW family.

Delly - stay strong, I'm sure things will get better in time.

    Tagz - lovely cat :D

Babykat - excellent weight loss, what did you do different this week?

It's 4 weeks today until OH and I fly off to Cyprus, and I really want to lose another half stone by then (at least) but mid-week weigh ins are not looking promising, so I've decided to dust off my bike and get out on it. OH needs to build up his strength too, so it will be good for both of us! (Scrabble obviously doesn't work :rotfl: and neither does that smiley!)

Have a great Sunday - I hope the sun comes out again, it was lovely today.

I sometimes wonder what effect being the youngest in her year would have had, although I think DD would have been alright with it. She does have a bit of a confidence issue though, as she was 19 when she started uni, then changed course after the first year so she was nearly 24 by the time she graduated. Since then she's had time out to have a baby, returned to college to do her PGCE, and got her first job as a primary school teacher at 28, whereas many probationary teachers start out at 22/23. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't make any difference to her future prospects, but I think she worries that people expect her to have more experience.
