Thanks so so much everyone, I don't have anyone to talk to about this (except OH of course) so I really appreciate your kind words today. It's so lovely to have friends like you :iloveyou: xxx
Vic, step away from the biscuits! It's your birthday and OH obviously loves you dearly so please go and make it up with him. It sounds like he just wanted to spoil you and make you happy so please let him show you in his own way xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Just got her in time .... Happy Birthday Victory. Hope tomorrow is a smilier day for you.
Some one I know had a lovely surprise present form her OH .. a voucher to get her legs waxed. It was just before their wedding and he kindly pointed out that her very hairy legs (his words) weren't appropriate for a bride. Surprised she still married him, it didn't last.0 -
Gosh it's still quiet on here!
Here is the chart. A big congratulations to retiredlady for being SOTW with her 5lbs loss and our SOTM goies to julesgr and dellydelly who both lost 10lbs this month! Amazing feat - well done.
Well done also to kymrob, Lois Lane, Starlight and The Dragon for achieving the August challange. Great result.
The September challenge starts today. Let's hope we are all losers (or maintainers, if required) this month.0 -
I know I'm late but would like to post a 1lb loss this week.
Hopefully I can start to make some progress now as I'll be actually able to eat before 10pm :T
Happy birthday Victory - hope it turned out ok in the end.
Bails it's a horrible feeling going back to meet people you've not seen for sometime and wondering how they're judging you. Try to remember that they will also be wondering how they are being judged. You are a lovely person from what I've read in here and no one can take that away from you - if they've got a problem with anything it's their problem not yours - and it'll probably be years before you see them again. I hope it works out ok for you.
Missy glad to hear you're on the mend now - try to follow dr's orders - though I'm sure that in 6 weeks you'll be climbing the walls.
Andyslinz I try not to buy anything that I'm likely to crave - I know that if I buy it I'll be eating it within 24 hours. I've got fruit in a very prominent place on my desk and museli bars in my desk if I get desperate - not a real substitute for naughty nibbles but enough to distract me long enough to get over it.

Sorry, been at the shop getting the biscuits in - while I was out I also ran a marathon and won a Teacher of the Year award
I nearly bought you Bourbons to go with your pressie but resisted
Is all i can say to that:rotfl: .
Granny - great story re the wax gift:eek: . Hope day 3 has gone ok.
Delly - you've disappeaed. Hope things are 'ok'. And big thanks efrieze for the chart. Can't say my 'taking control' was particular forceful today either: that birthday blackberry jam is just too yummy. And that butter bought for cake making just goes so well with ryvitas...bb slopes off in direction of kitchen...I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Sorry - I was too late for the chart - freudian slip as I gained 2lbs - a massive wake up call for me.
I don't know where my head has been this past week but I have been in a terrible mood, and of course the comfort eating follows.... I have almost pulled myself together and as they say - tomorrow is another day!!:T :T :T
Belated Happy Birthday Victory :j :j :j - sorry to hear about your trials and tribulations on the day itself.
I love my OH to bits but he needs serious guidance when it comes to presents. I give out 'public information announcements' on items that I would like when special days are approaching and after a few false starts it seems to work now!!   Sometimes he double checks and asks 'was that a public info announcement' which always makes me laugh!!
I would never expect him to guess what I want and then present it in a romantic fashion without stage management from me lol!
We can laugh about some of the disasters now, and after all - just being together on the day is often enough!:D
Suggs - I loved the words of support you offered Bails.:A :A That was so empathetic.
Bails - I know where you are coming from 100% - it is like I was reading something I could have written. I really get quite uptight if I know I am going to meet people I haven't seen for a while as I know they will think 'my - she has blossomed'.....:o
In my circle of friends at the moment I am lucky that most of them have known me at this size only and my old friends are not the sort of people to judge - it's those events where you see people you wouldn't normally choose to see that give you the horrors.
Actually typing that has just made me think that if they were at all important we/you would have kept in touch and they would have known our/your journey so maybe we shouldn't worry so much about people that really don't matter that much in the scheme of things???
Easier said than done - but something for me to work on maybe....;)
Missy - I do hope you are feeling OK - take it easy!
Blimey - this has turned into a bit of a rant - sorry!!:rotfl:
Welcome to our new people this week - this is a great group of people and sometimes we even talk about weight loss!
BTW - I think we should make this weekend the great forward roll weekend again - or the crab for those who showed off last time! When you have done either (or whatever was your great achievment in gymnastics as a child!!) let us know on Saturday - it was hilarious last time - especially as my neighbours children were aghast to see their neighbour nearly breaking her neck in the garden then collapsing in a heap giggling......:rotfl: :rotfl:

Lesley xxNO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
Oh damn, I knew I'd get it wrong  I was trying to work out which way made me the better friend - the people in the shop must've thought I had a bourbon fetish I stood there so long
Hope Day 3 was better for you than me Granny, I'm in Bb's camp today
Hope you're okay Delly, thinking of you and hoping you're busy Scrabbling
Thanks Lesley, good point xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi everyone
Can I join you's now please??
I've read all 70 pages, I've looked at all the links and it's taken me since December 2007 to join
I've so much to lose, but today I finally plucked up the courage to join WW's at the classes, I'm going to a step aerobics class twice a week with my aunt and mum, so I've good support. Would like to definately lose 7lb by the time I go to Disney in 6 weeks which should hopefully be do-able
Oh and Victory for you, only this once though hehe0 -
Victory - sorry to hear your day didn't turn out as special as we'd like our birthdays to be. My solution this year was to buy all my own presents and give them to OH to wrap (didn't let on to the little monkeys as they would have been disappointed) - I had a great time and funnily enough got every thing I wanted :rotfl: . I know it's an extreme approach but money was a bit tight and I didn't want OH 'guessing' - not one of his strengths.
Missyg - pleased everything went well, you sound 'great', but do take it easy.
Bails - everyone has given you such good advice already, so have a dodgy hug from me :grouphug:
Efrieze - thanks for the chart.
