My mum is getting a debenhams personal shopper but she is desperate for my brother not to tell the lady on the phone how old she is (82) as then she feels the lady will bring her nothing but florals and as she calls it 'old peoples clothes':rotfl: :rotfl: we are going to a super posh wedding on the 27th so everyone in the family is trying to impress, me I have a red dress with a dropped waist that I got off ebay that is lovely but needs taking in, my eldest is borrowing a suit from his cousin, the youngest is wearing trousers and a shirt and OH already has a suit, you see what with the petrol, present, accomodation etc a wedding can all add up (there is a whisper we might be able to stay at my brothers but everyone else is staying at the manor) paupers we are:rolleyes:
So far I am having a manicure,(birthday money tomorrow) hair cut, eyebrows done, found some old red shoes to go with the red dress but do you wear red shoes and a red dress?0 -
Hi everyone, hope you've all had a great day!
Had an ok day, although dad made me a bacon sandwich for lunch with ketchup as well so never mind. Had a nice healthy stir fry for dinner so its ok.
Got a plan to join the student-discount gym next week when I move down, although I don't know if I can get th discount before I actually start Uni... I've got two weeks before freshers week to bash the gym :j
Vix - I've always been kind of scared of the idea of aqua aerobics, what's it all about??
Victory - Lucky you getting all the pampering! Having my eyebrows done is the one luxury I can't go without lol. And yes red shoes and red dress sounds good to me (so lnog as they are the same red!)Chifundo Uzuri Siochain"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost" - JRR Tolkien~~ Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal ~

carol im not vix but i find aqua aerobics quite fun even if i am the youngest in the classes. we mostly just to stuff in the pool, jogging, jumping, kneelifts, hoping and such like. once we had a different teacher and she had us running in circles then turning suddenly and going against the force of the water, also having competions getting form one end of the pool to the other doing various moves and tryng to slow the other team down. that was hilarious and knackering lol
minus 2lb for me this weel please efrieze, thanks.0 -
Hideous Granny! I was meant to be born a man. A sack it is then. With no eye holes. But now you know how good that can look .... potato colour and with clogs.
Does anyone else absolutely hate those mirrors where you can see yourself from behind? I'm as wide as I am tallNot just those mirrors but all mirrors realy. Especailly the unexpected ones. Truly, it was a hideous day. Can I turn up to my brother's wedding in jeans?

Oh bails, how utterly depressing:( . Wish I had some marvellous suggestion... well done for don't compensating with 10 donuts.
Well done granny on sticking to plan today. As for me 'taking control' bails:rotfl: succombed to TOTM sugar craving - was given HM blackberry jam for my birthday and there's a serious dent in the jar tonight. Back to trying again tomorrow.
Seren - gorgeous dress - can't bm No 2 get something that compliments it rather than matches if necessary?
Ah, that's why I labour over cakes and goodies for OH - it's my 'only a girlfriend' status:D . Much scraping the bowl kpc is one reason I'm back to the main chart, as I don't like actual cakes so they're not the temptation.
Hope all goes well for your DS1 Victory - never easy starting as the new boy in an established group.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
aaaaw bails, sorry it wasn't fun. those mirrors are evil and i bet you are not as wide as you are tall by a long stretch. I hope you find something that makes you feel good. I really hate that feeling of having to be on show when you aren't confident. I had to admot at weekend that I've never managed to get near the vintage dress I bought at weekend. That was upsetting, but not as bad as a personal shopping disaster. Thinking of you honxx0

Reporting in with a disgruntled STS this week.
I thought I'd had a good week, but I'll be double checking everything this week.
Have a good day everybody.

Thanks ll:D OH went out early this morning and got me red roses from Asda and carnations for the boys to give to me, my little one made up the letters of happy birthday in lego which is very cute:D got lots of texts and emails and still not dressed:rotfl: got a bad tummy for cheating last night and having a bacon sandwich, stomach does not like it and insulin less, will I ever learn? OH says the surprise is coming later I reckon it is London, not sure but I think he is taking me to the Jo Malone candle shop because I do keep going on about it but they are so expensive I know me and will refuse to have one because of that so a wasted trip really:rotfl: :rotfl:
It is nice to be the centre of attention though, I even got a text message from an old flame:D0
