To all those who've been struggling with WL recently, I'd like to officially join your gang :o

I haven't been struggling, just giving in without a fight. :oShame, shame, shame.

I will start struggling again from Monday until Friday, then give in over next weekend as we are going away for our 35th    wedding anniversary. Did I tell you, I was a child bride? Now Vix you can start working out how old I am!

I've booked a 'boutique hotel' using trip advisor (although I'm not really sure what a boutique hotel is) and a nice restautant using t a too, so it will be a weekend of hotel breakfasts and a celebratory dinner. And if Mr Granny tells one more person that he would have had a shorter sentence for murder I may just have to ........

No WL thread tomorrow????? Oh no!

That will cause problems for a lot of people on the forums - they'll have to find out what real life is all about! :rotfl: (I'm not talking about anyone on this thread by the way!)

Oh no!!! Whatever will I do???

Oh yeah, that's right promised DD another boot fair. Only managed 2 last weekend as the Sunday one was rained off. We made a grand total of £26 on the Saturday and £46 on the Monday (after taking out the entry fees). Not a lot for the hours put in, but we had some quality time together and quite a laugh throughout the days - boot fairing is definitely an experience. Also, £72 for our 'junk' can't be bad.

The chips are a problem though as DD always wants them at about 11am, when I am beginning to think about lunch - my will power doesn't stretch that far.

Best go load the car I guess.

cuddles the monkey by any chance suggs?

oooooh, granny, boutique hotels. like the sound of that. Been list making. Everyone who has pm'd so far is on the list, and so far it looks just like last year( obviously i'll juggle it). which is nice, shows how nice a forum this is that people stick with it. In fact, there was only one name from last year that isn't still around this year - and she joined, signed up, got appendicitis, gamely struggled on and did the swapbox before disappearing.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Hi everyone - lots to read at the moment and as ever - hugs to those who need them :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks Katie for doing the swapbox list etc - it must be quite a job.
I had my day off today and went to Costco in Leeds on my own. We tend to bulk buy a lot of stuff which costs a lot in one go, but saves us a fortune over time. Still a shock to see the total - especially as you have to pay by debit card so no credit allowed!! I ene bought a couple of Christmas presents for nephews etc as if you don't get them when you see them there they may not be there next time.
I also got a new thing to me - Air guitar hero - it's really cool - you have a belt buckle type affair with a tiny amp, and you play with a magnetic plectrum rock stuff in an air guitar fashion - lol:rotfl: - it's actually for my nephews 11th birthday next week but I think I will have worn the batteries out!
We have him tomorrow night for a sleepover - this is quite a big thing to us as we don't have kids. He enjoys it as he is centre of attention and we can be childish and play games all night (not that we need an excuse)!!:D
It's great for him as his little sister, Jessica, is fab, but full on, so sometimes he needs a breather.
She has downs' syndrome, but that doesn't seem to hold her back in any way. She is so bossy - we all have to do what she tells us (like Simon says, but Jessica says) and since she started school she seems to have modelled herself on the teacher. She is hilarious, but very exhausting as her batteries never seem to run down!:j :j :j :j :j
Hey ho, hope everyone has a good weekend and we are all going cold turkey on no posting tomorrow!!:T :T
