Delly, as Serendis said I think, noone can be inside your relationship but I have the utmost respect for your courage and resolve in this terrible situation. I for one would find it impossible to be so reasonable. I really hope you can find a way through this xxx

happy birthday bindi!
eeeeew dragon. My OH would faint. He's squeamish about bones creaking or grating - it goes back to his aborted time as a physiology student.
Granny, isn't it only like 2 pages since you'd finally finished all last terms work and were ready to start your holidays? Vix, I HATE festivals, i've lived too near them and had to deal with the aftermath too many times. There is a small, but significant minority who think that festival=setting fire to things, trashing things and generally being unpleasant. Temple Newsam Country Park used to be a no go area for about a week afterwards. Why must they do this? I was last to leave Bosworth this year and the only sign we'd been there was a few wood chippings. Is it so hard to put things in the bin? Sorry, getting off high horse now. BTW, you don't have to go without cleaning your teeth or washing - folding mini toothbrushes are ace and babywipes can wash everything.
D2 - fyi, I have a day job in marketing, run my own speciality food business and am one of the boards resident foodies - which may explain why i lose no weight. I also do medieval and world war 2 re-enactment.
BTW folks, it's getting for a year since we did the last swap box - do we wanna go again? For those who weren't around, we set a budget and all send our names and addresses to one person. That person sends everyone an address to send a present to. IT's up to you whether you identify yourself or not. Then we set a day on which we open it and post on the board what we got.0 -
KPC, it would be great if you did the swap boxes again. I was only a lurker last year when you did it, but you all seemed to know each other so well and loved the gifts you all received. Count me in if it gets the vote.

I'm only a newbie so I don't know if i get a vote, but i love the swap box idea!Chifundo Uzuri Siochain"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost" - JRR Tolkien~

Hi again folks,
Just about to sit down to another episode of Grey's and thought I ought to update you all first.
Another difficult day today, we just seemed to be going round in circles and getting no- where. OH did say quite a few hurtful things to me today, none of it intentionally but nonetheless.
I was quite proud of myself, it was ages before I let myself cry but it just seemed to make OH more annoyed and upset and confused. I did nothing other than tell him that what's happening is hurting me and that he has a choice, stay or go but I wasn't going to make it easy for him by throwing him out on his backside like I should have. At the end of the day, I want to be married, I want to be part of our family, I want to plan and have a happy future together - he's the one who's confused.
I decided that I needed a break away from things for a few hours so left OH to put DS to bed and went to my wonderful friend. I'm not long back from there and got some great advice - basically, all of the hurtful things he's saying to me are to make him feel better about himself, that I don't own any of the responsibilty for what's happened and that the decision is his to make and I should give him a limited amount of time to make it.
Came back home all psyched up to tell him all of the above - the choice was his and I wasn't going to make it for him.... and he told me that he realised what a bar steward he'd been, that he loved me and wanted to make a go of things, that he'd change his mobile number for me and that we had to move forward and re-connect emotionally.
Phew!:D
Now I just have to work out a way of moving forward without wanting to kill him or smash the pc;) .... any suggestions?Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
