bleargh. went to see my mum last night and she served up that lanacashire speciality of cheese and onion pie and mushy peas. Yummy, but very naughty. And then stayed up until stupid o clock with her. yay granny is back. I like teashops too, the more twee the better.
  • Hello all :) I did post on this thread a while back but I was doing so rubbish i gave up. However im back on the horse so to say, been reading another thread in DFW and in the past weeks have lost 7lbs wooo.

right so im back and up for the 5lb a month target :) I know its late in the month, but could i possibly still join in for this months 5lb target? Ive lost 3lbs in the last week, so it's only (only she says ha! like its that easy!) 2 lbs to lose in the next 12 days.

its nice to be back and sooooooo glad ive at long last got the motivation to do something about being fat! its taken me 20 months to get this motivation! (From i had DD).

How about keeping yourself busy? I don't know what your 'triggers' are, but when ever I get bored I get hungry.
I was gunna suggest you take up knitting or something to keep your hands busy, then I remembered you're a guy! :rotfl:(right?)

Afternoon all! Just managed to prise myself away from watching the track cycling!

Thank you for all the welcomes back. I'm very pleased that the gain was only 6lb in 3 weeks, that's much better than my 8lb in 2 weeks last time (and I exercised less and ate more this time... go figure!!!)

Have you tried the Singoalla biscuits from IKEA Lois? Probably the wrong forum to be talking about such things but they are a favourite of mine :p Better not say how many packs I brought back from Sweden

Whose wedding was it at the weekend BB? How did the bread turn out? As if I need to ask - bet it was delish!

Thought of you when we passed through Dover on the way out Vix - there was a cruise ship in so you might have been around, but that was ages ago now and we came back a different way.

Hi FFM, was wondering how you got on with your op, glad you seem fine and well done on getting to BM1 18.5! :D Mine's a hernia op (between the ribs), something I've had for years and thought nothing of, but got checked out after it became far more noticeable following my weight loss! I should be back to gentle exercise within a week or two, normal activity after a month. I'm looking forward to getting it out of the way as I've been holding off adding heavier weights & vigorous stretching to my routines :)

Hiya Granny! How long were you in Northumberland? If you don't weigh in you might miss the opportunity of being SOTW when that gain (if there IS a gain) falls off you next week! I had the same problem though - I definitely would have eaten less if it had been fine weather because we would have been out and about doing a lot more

Hi to new peeps who've joined while I was away by the way. Victory I hope you're having a great time - is anyone else away on hols at the moment?

It was my nephew's wedding missy. A very big do. Got bails very excited at mention of Royal Marines buglars fanfare:D . The bread was too bland (needed more salt) and not quite cooked enough in the middle, so rather doughy. It was also heavy as a brick, but apart form that it was fine:rotfl: . Actually, it was ok for a first attempt and I can see what needs to be altered. It's a 'no need to knead' recipe so minimal work. We don't eat a lot of bread for wl reasons, so it will save some pennies if I can just cook a loaf as and when we need it.
    Disappointed for Cav this morning.
Wecome back Lilmiss - I'm sure efreize who is doing the chart at the moment will add you on to tomorrow's chart. Great news you feel motivated to go for it this time. Stick with us and I'm sure that will help.
Take it easy jules - not suprised you were knocked out by work.
I've just booked 2 weeks leave in sept. not going anywhere but can't wait to the break fom work.
