partly down to the fact that there is less washing because he is working on his computer in his pants all day.

He's got a computer in his pants? I know there's technology out there that has passed me by, I haven't even got an ipod, but .... WOW.

Decided to bite the bullet after Missy's good advice and have put on 4.5 lb making a total loss of only 26.5 lbs. Shame and horror ... not just the holiday gain which is less than I deserve but the ongoing inability to get back on track.

Vix I've been to the Florida theme parks twice but I haven't tried the Paris one. I think they are all wasted on children and much more fun for adults. Everything is just so well oragnised and cleverly done, even though it is all expensive. You could always take sandwiches. (I wouldn't)

Raphael, maybe you could have a romantic cliff top jog instead of a walk? (I wouldn't ) Enjoy the bangers and mash and ignore Vix's invasive question ... just tell me.

Hope I'm not too late for the chart -
    2lbs off this week

Sorry I haven't been around much, but a few things going on here as well as the rain.

I wasn't too badly affected by the flooding Brighton belle. The drains down the road from us burst and the storm drains backed up into our back garden but thankfully it wasn't more than a deep puddle across the back garden. The worst thing for me was the water was coming up the drain outside my kitchen window and the kitchen sink wouldn't drain  The worst of the flooding was in Belfast. Luckily for us Derry is quite hilly so drains and rain flow downwards into the river Foyle.

Was doing fairly well on my plan until OH invited a someone he'd met in Coventry over for a visit. She arrived on Monday and has only just left, so a take away and drinks on Monday, dinner out and drinks last night and oven chips today! It's just as well my WI is on monday mornings, but we've been busy with work and entertaining his friend so didn't have time to check in before now.

OH is on nights this week, I'll check in properly again tomorrow.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

whew! Just got in from giving a talk to my wi group. I did medieval women, focussing on clothing. I was a bit wobbly at first, i could hear it in my own voice, but as I went on I got more confident and really enjoyed it. They seemed to really enjoy it too and reckon i ought to get my name in the book to do it for proper. The going rate seems to be £30 + fuel, which isn't a lot, but it's more than you'd get sitting at home i suppose. Still, mustn't get too busy as I'm liable to burn out. Mosaic class sounds lovely - what did you make?

I've got a mountain of medieval gyngerbrede sitting here. I messed up the proportions AGAIN - it's basically a mixture of spiced honey and breadcrumbs and this time i overdid the breadcrumbs so it's a bit of a mess. Usually i overdo the honey so it breaks your teeth. Think I'll wrap it and take it away at the weekend - it's just too sweet for me fortunately.

Disney!! how exciting! OH went there for his honeymoon. He likes to relate the story of how his then wife was so excited to see Tigger she actually floored the character and he couldn't get back up. and lol granny, modesty permits me from discussing the contents of oh's pants. It is of course his enormous . . . wit that keeps me here, obviously.

BTW, i too seem totally unable to get back on track, lose an odd half kilo here and there but can't seem to find the focus to really knuckle down. I'm sure we'll find a way, but until then, I know this forum helps rein in some of my worse impulses.

Evening all. Here is the chart for this week. I hope I haven't missed anyone off (as there seem to be few weigh-ins recorded).

Well done to our SOTW, Suggs, who has lost an amazing 7.4lbs of his holiday gain and well done also to kymrob so has lost a very impressive 3lbs (still losing at a great rate) and achieved the monthly challenge with a week to spare. Congrats also to dellybelly for also achieving the monthly challenge with a week in hand.

(I posted a 1lb gain this week which I think was evening out from previous weeks' naughtiness)

  • Ooh beanie - sounds like we are nearly twins:D . When is your birthday exactly? Well done on losing that weight this week, like the good little mantainer you are:j
kpc, I made a 7-8" square (my)house number. It took me the whole 5 weeks but I enjoyed going at my own pace and I learnt loads and am really chuffed with the result. I know I have some creative talent lurking but it has never has a definite focus, other than a spell of clockmaking about 8-10 yrs ago. So I find I have enjoyed the create process and looking at colour & shape.
lol re OH's pants. It reminds me that a close friend of mine is currently 'modelling' for an acrylic dild0.:D

Thanks for the chart efrieze. Well done SOTW suggs:T . Well done granny on fessing up. Now you can relax and wait for the plaudits to role in when you lose it:D . I guess whenever the motivation to focus returns, you'll have 2 less stone to work through to get to where you are happy to be.
Delly - glad you're 'ok'. Sounds a close call with the flooding if you ask me.
Am I the only one for who disneyland sounds torture?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

lol raph. can't you both wear a dress? bbelle, i kind of agree. I seem to be fairly unnatural in that winnie the pooh characters just don't do anything for me. I like theme pack rides but i am one of those misery guts types that will only go during the week in term time to minimise disruption from pesky kids.

ahhh d2, love you already asking those invasive you should never ask a woman her age type questions!!

although actually, when BB said it was her birthday in 9 days i really want to ask "how old" but i shall hold back and let d2 ask ha :p

And bb how can disney be torture? Deary me, its like the land of dreams. Yea its corny, yes i hate cartoons and ive never watched the jungle book but it shows what a bit of hype and dressing up can do for you. Ive totally decided to take my tiara and wand!!

Raph:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im guessing your past first base then :p perhaps even a home run!! Im liking all this future talk, i hope youre the one to wear the dress (i take it you cant wear white after last night! haha) totally awesome. I also hope ive made an appearance in the guest list, especially the wedding service itself, the sit down meal and the boogie after to burn the calories off.

Its getting very sexual in here isnt it, kpc talking about her mans big one, raph with her bases, what next?

ooh on a downer note, was on the phone to matt last night on his way home from work (hands free of course) i heard this bang and a lot of swearing and some man had hit our wing mirror! smashed the glass and scratched the window so had to get an estimate today. Grr to the hassle of sorting that out.

anyway, i'll be back on in about 5 mins as my bordom sets in from dissertation work!
