Morning All
Raph, I am so glad to see things are going swimmingly :-) Seeing as no-one has called it can I be a pageboy??
Quietweek for me, work took alot out of me Tuesday 230mile round trip and of course the Olympics has me distracted, especially that ladies hockey as Vix rightly pointed out
Anyways this last week has been more focused on training for the 10km which is on the 31st, been doing 5mile indoor and 4.5mile outdoor, I am hopeful to finishwithout stopping would be fantasic. http://www.run10ksponsorme.org/petergalvin If you fancy it, but only if you do.
As a result of which I am happy to post a Loss of 3.8lb which wipes out the holiday gain completely and a little bit more. Body fat is about the same, but I guess the body is still adjusting.
On the subject of Disney, there is nothing wrong with a bit of cheese(said the bishop to the actress
) I have only been to DisneyParis, it was a few years ago and it rained, alot. But I would like to Florida and do the whole thing. Once I am allowed in the country.
Right I hope we all have a great weekend. I have the kids, well two of them, this weekend. The eldest is out celebrating her GCSE results. All things been equal I hope to be building a decking! Wish me luck!

Morning everyone
I'm stuck at home for the second day, waiting for a courier which was supposed to be here yesterday... sigh...! Could do with some milk, but you can bet your life if I disappeared for 5mins, that's when they'd turn up :rotfl:
Was looking back at my stats and realised Monday's weigh in was the heaviest I have been all year even though the holiday gain wasn't as much as the last one. I've set a mini target of getting back under BMI 21 before my op (in 10 days), and then STS for a month after that as I won't be able to exercise much. Then it'll hopefully be all systems go
Efrieze, I've never figured out any of the online wii stuff (then again I haven't tried :rotfl: ) but there's a wii fit thread over on the "Arms" where we've been discussing all sorts of wii fitty things if you're interested
Congrats on the loss Suggs, 2 fantastic losses in a row there! Perfect! Have a fab weekend and good to hear your eldest's GCSE results were a cause for celebration0 -

Congratualtions on your GCSE results, Suggs (vicariously)!
Raphael ... is it your one week or two week anniversary? Sorry I can't remember. I love your posts .. you sound so happy and so soppy. Just the way it should be. And if Suggs is going to be a page boy can I be a matron of honour? I look very matronly, in a Hattie Jaques way. I'm not sure about the honour bit but I'd try. (You're actually too young to remember Hattie Jaques, but let's just say I won't be outdoing either of the brides)
And congrats on the debt clearing.0 -
d2, everyone knows my age cos its nearly my birthday!!!!!!!!!! Guessing someones age from a couple of words on the screen must be hard. Can you read minds or something?
Raph: I forgot you were in my age bracket. Keep us/me posted on your girlfriend!
Today has been a pile of poop for me, work was boring apart from a mother and daughter i fitted who were plesent, they really took an interest and the girl was lovelly, even though she got bullied for having boobs.
Dragon: migraines are pants. I hate them sooooo much. Hope youre better now, they are so draining for some reason.
I know i had something else to say but probably later. My auntie and uncle are over in a min so i'll be bored ha0 -
Granny: jacque vert outfit for raph's wedding?
raph: i look !!!! hot in pink, if thats any encourgement at all to make pink your colour theme.0 -
And fortunately raph, having just been to a wedding, my outfit is still sparkling and shiny new so I'm sorted:D . Brill news re your latest debt cleared:j . Your new missis is getting one sorted babe on a plate:T .
Suggs - can't sponsor as skinter than a skint thing:o but this is fantastic you are doing the 10k - not so long ago you were uncomfortable about running in public, so it is just brill to see your progress:T .
So vix, you want to know how old I am... Old enough of course to tell you to get your elbows off the table and get on with your homework:D . Might be less coy as the week progresses. First clue - I can remember as a little girl being woken up very late at night to watch neil armstrong walk on the moon. And my very earliest memory is watching Sir Francis Chichester sail into Plymouth(from the Hoe) after his non stop round the world sail.
D2 - I had an excruitiatingly dull day at work too. I was unexpectedly the only one in and the clock was not kind to me. Bad clock.
Bails - Homeworking wouldn't suit OH - he wouldn't have the motivation or discipline to get on with it(not meant as a criticism, I'm much the same I think). He does much better going out to work. Talk today of them extending his seasonal contract a little on an ad hoc basis, which would keep the deep financial doodoo from the door.
Good to hear fom you purple cat - where pink lipgloss these days??
Pet still missing you, and hope you are keeping head above water:grouphug:
Vix - I guess I've just never been in to the whole disney thing - probably family influence and not having kids. Still I love your excitement at going at wouldn't want to detract from that. T'would be dull if we were all the same eh. I also am a real weed when it comes to scary rides - I hated doing head over heels at school as it made me dizzy:rotfl: .
Hope you all have a lovely bank hols. No plans for us - OH working Sun/Mon anyway. And end of the month skinto, though in the black and to stay that way, can only do free activities...mmm, wonder what we could get up too...:D
Having to work very hard not to eat to much of the wrong stuff, but I need to nail these 2lbs.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I didnt know you didnt have children BB. Wasnt neil on the moon in the 70's? I thought you were older than that though. Not to be rude ha, but that puts you in the same age range as my brother.
My family hate cartoons, they hate disney so i think its the fact that its seen as a thing that everyone has done, something every child has experienced and im finally getting the chance. Plus i could get excited over a paper bag so it doesnt take much! And paris is my favourite place, i wanna go back into paris on the night of our anniversary, walk along the siene or something. (im talking like raph now!)
I also hate fast up side down rides but i wanna have photos with goofy, maybe snow white.
right, have a good bank holiday weekend everyone, dunno when i'll next be on cos i got work work and more sodding work! booooo0 -
Vix, I just googled Neil Armstrong and found out that he walked on the moon in 1969.
BB, I wondered why no one woke me up to watch him do this, but then I figured it was probably 'cos we didn't have a tv (that would make sense)
Vix, I've been to Euro Disney loads of times, 1st time was the year it opened with my little sister and OH, then once we had kids we went a few times and stayed in different hotels. Davy Crockett was a let down as it was off site and the cabins weren't as nice as in the photos. We stayed in the Newport Bay Club next that was okay, the Disneyland Hotel was fab and we booked a 'castle suite' - we were obviously feeling flush that yearOur last stay was at the Hotel Cheyenne which was more basic. Haven't tried the Hotel New York or Sequoia Lodge - not likely too either as OH really hates Disney now as we went too many times for his liking
I can really see you enjoying Disney as you will get into the whole thing. Thunder Mountain was the most 'scarey' ride that I went on, but it was more jerky than anything - I was worried about DD hurting her neck or head rather than anything else. If you get the chance, go to Buffalo Bills Wild West show and try and fit in the parades and shows. Hope you have a ball.
Missyg, hope your courier turned up so you could get some milk. OH waited in all morning for the gas man, who phoned at 1pm to say could he make it 3pm - OH said no as he was taking the little monkeys to see FIL and MIL.
I had my stitches out today - the scar is looking a bit ropey at the moment - hope it improves. Good luck for your OP, let us know when you go in and how you get on.
