I am reporting a 0.2lb loss this week, that will be the little bit of me that disappeared off in a pot after my op on Friday :rotfl:

Welcome back Missyg, mine's white with no sugar
Well done on the weight gain, not bad for letting your hair down. I was expecting a similar gain after my break - it wasn't for lack of trying.
My BMI is now 18.5 so I'm officially 'normal' :rotfl:
I've been reading a good book that I picked up from the charity shop for 25p, it's called 'Only Fat People Skip Breakfast', it's quite funny in places which makes it easy to read (some of it is quite harsh). It would appear that I am a 'binger'. I'm still reading about emotional triggers etc as I haven't worked out where my 'problem' started or what my triggers are. I'm hoping that knowing these things will make me able to control what I do around food.
Are you able to say what your Op is? or is it something you would prefer not to say? After my Op on Friday I was researching how to speed up recovery and found my exact same Op on You Tube - I didn't know people posted such things.I'm glad I didn't watch my Op, inspite of the numerous enquiries by my doctor as to whether I wanted a 'peep'.
D2 - the book I'm reading says that "chewing gum signals your stomach to expect food. When that doesn't happen, it sets up a craving. Therefore, chewing gum makes you hungry."

i have a question for all, i knwo it may sound very dumb lol but...
can you lose weight from chewing, chewing gum?????????? hehe
urgh. I hate chewing gum. I suppose chewing might make you feel less hungry, but I hate the thought of the stomach getting the acidic juices ready, then nothing being swallowed.

I'm back from beautiful Northumberland ... where it rained and rained.
Have been speed reading the pages I missed and am sending positive vibes for interviews, operations, irritating teenaged children, deli parties and poorly teeth. Congratulations on lovely new relationships, home made bread, holiday gains and losing them (I wish) and shiny black 42" entertainment features. Oh, and Vix, get on with your work. No stars for you otherwise.
I will NOT be weighing in this week. Northumberland had very little dry weather but some wonderful teashops. I need a week, or possibly ten, before I want to see the awful truth on the scales.
Am rushing off to tell OH about these Cawthorne Cooksey exercises - not that he has dizziness problems but as he's a Cawthorne I think he should be doing them anyway.0 -

Hi all
On the subject of chewing gum, a friend of mine is doing Sureslim and they recommended she chew gum instead of reaching for sweets or chocolate, which works for her but still makes her hungry!
Welcome back Grannynise and thanks for the potted summary of the posts you missed - it made me laugh!
FFM - I have a mental picture of the surgeon announcing the sex and weight before taking the little bit of you away! :rotfl:
Catch you all tomorrow.

Hurrah, grannynise is back too:j .
Todays plan of getting back on the straight and narrow slightly foiled by OH producing a secret stash of bourbon biscuits this evening, declaring that now I don't have to worry about fitting into my outfit for the wedding last saturday, I deserve a treat. It was so sweet of him, I didn't have the heart to not eat them:D .
Day one restarts tomorrow.
Glad the op went ok FFM and you are now (just) in the normal range - that's really really good:T :T .
Hope you are not affected by the floods Delly.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
