redruby sounds like you`ve taken to gardening like a duck to water;)
No need to water our garden today, nor for the next few days either I should`nt think.
O great Nicki :T good luck
Welcome winniepooh we are a friendly bunch on here
Ahhh SnowyOwl you will find the right job soon, really you will
mummysaver Cherries 99p for a whole punnet, now thats what I call a bargain, they are really expensive everywhere I`ve seen them, cost me 1.45 for just a few last week.
The Remoska sounds great Kathy I think I`ll take a look at the website, you posted the link somewhere but I cant find it, sooo would you mind
I used George for our meal tonight, well part of it anyway ...the pork steak part... makes it easier because of the removeable plates, must admit though I dont use it very often now.
I was looking through the threads earlier and found one all about artisan bread, looks easy and delicious and does`nt take too long to make. I have only made bread once, and that was years ago but it was a disaster, even the birds would`nt eat it :rotfl:
Dare I chance it again ??? I wonder
Off for :coffee: will pop back later

Just a quick update from me.
Went to Newhaven, taxi cost £63.50! Lovely Doctor. Basically he said he couldn't understand why I was there either! He had a chat about what I did, and at the end said "What she wants is for me to say you will have X amount of relapses in X amount of years, but I can't say that, and neither can any other Doctor" So he is going to write a report that says I will have relapses, he doesn't know how often or how long, and she's going to have to put up with it!:T
Under the DDA they have to make "reasonable adjustments" which they have. So we'll see how we go from here.
hanks everyne for your support, it means a lot!:grouphug:I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Hiya!
Just popped on to say hello and hugs to Smokybabe.
I was working today and was pleasantly surprised to see one of my old pupils on work experience in my class. I taught her when she was 5 and she's just turned 16, she told me she really wants to be a teacher and get a job in her old school.:D I've had quite a few ex-pupils return to do their work experience with me and it's so nice to see how they have grown up into such nice young adults. It does make me feel old though!
We're busy getting ready for our Nursery Graduation service which will take place next week. The children look so cute in their Graduation gown and cap.We will be doing it for the rest of the school on thursday and then for the parents and families on friday (tissues at the ready). It's a lovely way to end the year with them and then they will move up to the reception class in September.
We also have the Year 6 leavers service which is very sad as the children have been with us since the age of 3, so almost 9 years of their lives. Everyone cries at that one, including the teachers.
DH had his parents' evening tonight so I took DD2 to Brownies. We had a quick, cheap and cheerful tea of oven chips, sausages, eggs and beans as we didn't have much time.
That's all from me, so hope you have a good evening.:D0 -
evening all
VickyA - beleive me if you lived nearer I would be knocking at your door - not just for the tent but for a lovely camp-nerd chat with your DH. I have a mild passion for foldy-up-small-multi-purpose-gadgety-things
NickyM - good luck with the interview - I got one too - yay - interview is next week and I vaguely know one of the panel.
I thought dd(11) was coming home tonight but other dd has asked to have her for one more night. that meant that I have had to scoff two yellow sticker steaks to myself - shame that
hugs hugs hugs - jayward, anniestar, PP, smokey, Hilstep - anyone else who needs oneI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Pippa - here is a link to the Remoska website and a link to Lakeland - the only place you can buy it from.
I bought the standard one on the advice of someone on the Remoska thread; there's usually only DH and me here and it will be plenty big enough. If I still had the boys living at home, I would have gone for the biggest one. If you do decide to buy one, go through Quidco because you get 4% cashback that way, plus, on the order form there's a choice of free gifts and, also, anything over £50 is free post and packing. The one I bought was £79.99 which sounds a lot but I think I'll use it almost every day. YBesides proper meals you can bake cakes, make things like rice pudding - in fact, anything you would normally use an oven or a grill for. It has to be a saving! It's so easy to clean, too - just one non-stick pan.

Well, I've spoken to DH tonight and he's tired and tanned but the patio is going very well. The first three days were spent prepping but they are starting to see results now. He'll be there until Sunday and then he's working on his other brother's house halfway back up through France - this time he'll be making concrete floors. I'm so glad I didn't go! I wouldn't have had much time with him, anyway.
I'm half packed for the hen weekend - just a few more things to pack in tomorrow, like the camera; the batteries are charging at the moment.
Whatatwit - thanks for reminding me about Grannybroon - they're probably second-honeymooning in the loft!
Anyway, I'm off now. See you all tomorrow!
