    Morning All!
Sorry I haven't been around, work pressures.

First :grouphug: to nyone who needs it especially Candygirl and Smokey.

    :bdaycake: To Master Dogrose

Stefejb my nephew and son are Brentford fans too!

I've been having hassles at work again.:o The Head decided that I had to see the Occ Health Doctor at County. Well I got a letter to go, and rang up to say I couldn't get there. It's a 60 mile round trip. So I was sent a form which I filled out with my Dr's name, Consultant and MS Nurse. They sent in reports. Occ Health Dr phoned and chatted, said fine, case closed.

Then last Friday the school Burser rang me and said "You have to see the Occ health Dr next Thurs" I said "I don't, it's closed" She said "Oh yes you do and we'll pay for a taxi there and back!" I have to go to Newhaven which is 80 miles away!
And, as it's myday off, they've got to pay me overtime! What a waste of time and money:mad: As my OH said "What's this Dr going to do, cure you?":rotfl:

I know what the Head is trying to do, she wants me out, but I'm b****red if I'll be bullied out of my job, like she's done to others.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so mad!
taking DD with me for support. she's over ger broken ankle now, just getting used to walking again.

Anyway, hope your days are beter!

    Morning all

Still here in sunny Dorset, it is lovely again this morning, but yesterday we had lots of rain. Just hoping it stays dry now as we need to take the awning down tomorrow and put it away.

The diet has gone out of the window this week, donuts, custard slices, wine, takeaways etc. but I have thoroughly enjoyed them all ;)

Not really been keeping up to date with everyone, but hope you are all OK, and that you too are getting some sunshine.

Back to normal next week, so will catch up then xx

Hello - I'm back with a coffee - the ironing board is up and waiting to see if I do anything with it.

Chrisca - good news at last! Hope it all goes well. Keep us informed - we love our thread babies here!

Hilstep - what a palaver you are having to go through with Occ Health. Good for you not letting the Head bully you out.

Sunnyday - thanks for the Happy Anniversary wishes! At least from your post I know AVG 8.0 works! I installed it at the weekend and, luckily, it didn't throw up any nasties. What a nuisance, though, when it does, but at least it does do what it says on the tin!

Stef - if you have a handy Argos, you can look online and reserve an item for collection the next day. I know they do tents because we bought ours from them a couple of years ago.

Well, I'm hoping that today is Remoska day! They emailed on Monday (I think) to say it had been despatched. I want it and I want it NOW! Mainly because I want to practice with it before DH gets back next week; I don't want to mess it up and have him think that it will join the George Forman in the back of the cupboard! Mind you, he thought the same with the BM which I've had for about fifteen months and I haven't bought a loaf of bread since then.

I thought I would have to buy a new mouse for my PC because it's really been playing up but I found a huge lump of fluff inside it, gave it a good clean with a pair of tweezers and it works a treat now. I also cleaned the keyboard with a child's paintbrush dipped in some of my Stardrops/vinegar/water mix and that has scrubbed up well, too. I lost count of the bits of dust and the crumbs that fell out when I turned it upside down and shook it! Anyway, it looks brand new now.

Well, I think I'll go and make a start on the ironing. The sun is really shining now and we have blue skies so I hope it's cheered up for those of you who have had rain.

    See you later.

    Morning all

Overcast here and muggy - heavy showers forecast so I shall be staying in today.

DH has gone back to work after 2 weeks off - he's still not 100% but his sick note has run out....will see how he goes.

The time off has allowed him to get on with his beer/wine making - we now have 10 litres of elderflower champagne bottled, 40 pints of beer in a pressure barrel and 4 litres of cider, strawberry wine and rhubarb wine all fermenting away....just hoping it all tastes as good as it smells

Did a huge shop at Mr T's yesterday to use some vouchers, meal planned for the next 2 weeks so should only need to top up with fruit and the odd bit of veg. Made a huge batch of vegi sauce for pasta bakes in the SC yesterday, made enough for 4 portions for the freezer and one for tonights dinner.

Need to finish potting on my veggies today - they're all doing so well in the conservatory and I should be picking salad leaves by next week.

Swished and swiped through the downstairs, wm has just finished so will hang it on the airer (not chancing these showers) and then need to dust and hoover through up stairs, get the spreadsheets up to date and pay some bills.

Hope you all have a great day.
