Afternoon all,
Hugs to Katt Lady, hope you feel better soon xx
snowy Chin up, somewhere out there is the perfect job for you :kisses3:
Hope everyone else is ok, hugs where needed.
Just went to put the chips in the oven for tea, went to the freezer no chipsI swear there was a packet in there, so thought I would do hm ones instead, ..... no potatoes
, good job sainsbugs are delivering tonight
, so change of plan I will shove the scampi in the oven in a while, and as soon as OH gets back from his driving lesson, I will run down the chippie for some chips.
Just watered the garden, and I have potato plants coming up, my carrots are doing well, rhubarb is going wild, I picked redcurrants in the week, loads of grapes coming on the vine, the apple tree is full to bursting, and the fig tree always has loads of figs on, ( although these never ripen enough to eat)...... not bad for someone who used to hate gardening :A
Hope you all have good evenings xx0 -

Welcome, Winniepooh! You've joined a great thread here!
Snowy - I'm sure all this hassle is going to be worth it when you land the job of your dreams. Good luck to you and all other job hunters out there!
Well, I have had my first meal from the Remoska but I played it really safe because I didn't want to waste any food if it all went wrong! I did HM chips and eggs which I had with salad. The chips needed to be a bit chunkier because they were a bit overdone but really that was because my Mum phoned and we talked for ages! I had to take them out and keep them warm while the eggs were cooking. Anyway, I can report so far, although an unadventurous meal, it was a success and I only have one pan to wash up which is an added bonus. I won't get a chance to cook another meal for a couple of days because I will be away for the weekend but I will try a toasted sandwich for my lunch tomorrow and come back on here with a report! The recipes in the book that came with it look great, with a good variety, and I've checked out the Remoska website which has loads more things to try. I hope to be using it for most meals now which will save on energy costs; it also means I don't have to feel wasteful having the main oven on with only one thing in it!
The weather has been great for most of the day but the heavens opened for about ten minutes then it all brightened up again. At least I won't have to water the garden tonight. My courgettes have gone mad all of a sudden with great big yellow flowers on them. I think they look nice anyway, the courgettes are a bonus! Anyway, tt's a nice evening so far.
Well, I'd better go and clear up, I suppose, and then settle down to watch a bit of telly.
Grannybroon - where are you? I hope you are OK?
See you all later.

PO xx
Basically, I already have a job (well...not that I've worked yet), but it's really irregular. So I got it early June and they want me to work late July! Although the pay is good (for a student at uni!) the fact it is irregular means that I needed to find something more regular.
So, the interview is for...wait for it...it's exciting....a job at the Co Opwhich is evening work 12 hours a week. So the plan is, if I get it, I could work whenever job one wants me to work and if so be it, could do both jobs on one day.

Good evening everyone :hello:
Here's hoping for a lovely weekend for your birthday bash Bargain Rzl!
I'm looking more and more organised for our Ofsted inspection next week. The deputy head gave us a really good motivational speech this morning, so much so that we're all hoping that the head never returns.
DH has offered to do the supermarket shopping, so I need to get him a list together. Don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, do I?
stefejb - hope that you get the tent situation sorted. It's a shame that we live so far away from each other as DH has a selection of 3 tents! :rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
