The Braehead store was out of wine by the time I got there and there wasn't much choice, but they replaced it with a £5 voucher.. so I got 2 deals and added 2 bottles of their Premier Brut ( on special at £10 for 2 ) instead of the wine. So thats the fizzy for Xmas day sorted!HLK

It would be more tempting if they stripped out the wine, which is supposed to be valued at around £5 and just offered a meal for 2 for £5, or a meal for 4 for £10.
The wine might not be to taste, plus it has to be carried home. It is always easy to find wine bargains so no big deal.
I'm not a drinker. Thanks to these offers I now have 6 bottles put aside for xmas, that will do us this year & next:rolleyes:
I did get the orange juice a few times, but I don't really like that juice. I like the one they do in the clear bottle & I like Tropicana.
I would prefer a starter option;)
Or two side dishes;)0 -
I really enjoyed my meal. It is the first time I have been able to take advantage of the offer as I have never had the cash for the others.
The cashier told me that there is only 1 more offer before Christmas and so I am definitely going to put a tenner aside for next time~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Has anyone tried the scallops . . . . . absolutely georgeous!!
:j0 -
my only gripe at these offers is, you only get one side (perhaps they expect you to buy another), so its either a choice of potato, bread or veg. i usually have at least 2 of these with a meal normally, so im having to choose whether i want to buy just pots, or just veg with my chicken, and cook extra at home
I agree, I got round this the last time as it was the winter roasting veg which included new potato's. I didn't need to add anything to this and the chicken except the gravy so it really was a full meal for two for the £10.
This weekend I just used frozen peas and sweetcorn.
Would have bought the lasange this time but no garlic bread in the offer.
I definitely think they are cutting back, hopefully we won't have seen the last of the fabulous chicken deals!I can't look into the future, but the futures where I'm walking to0 -
I also don't think this weeks offerings were as good. Wish I'd known about the chocolates though!!! I now have 9 bottles of wine which will be christmas presents. My daughter pointed out that this weeks savings weren't as good as usual. We usually buy 3 each and get the wine saving as well but this time she only bought one.0

I now have 9 bottles of wine which will be christmas presents..
I keep trying to do this!
they would be great to bring to dinner parties etc and I try to save them up as boyf and I only really drink sweeter wines (German Rieslings mostly)
Problem is boyf is a bit tight so when he sees them he's like "right don't need to buy any more wine, we'll open one of them" no matter how much I tell him "we won't like it" he'll open it anyway so we now have 3 bottles of opened wine with one glass missing
Such a waste of what other wine drinkers might've really enjoyed and it means next time we go to a party we have to buy a new bottle
For someone so tight fisted I really wish he'd learn a thing or two about money saving!
The next bottle we get I'm going to hide0 -
try to mix the white wine with orange juice= buzz fizz or red wine with lemonade = sangria; don't waste them or use them in cooking.0

Does anyone know if the deal is on again this week?
Thanks
