OliveOyls 82 day challenge

Cashback seems quite fraught, doesn't it. mse is on all day for me too, OO, tho I can't take my computer into the workroom, so its not quite the same ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Well the £139 I've counted (actually £139.99!) was what actually hit my bank account on 7th July. So I CAN count that
I never believe Quidco money until it really really arrives, it is such an odd concept - money for nothing! (and my chickens for free?)
Day 9 and I'm kn*ckered. Couldn't sleep last night, still doing a crossword in bed at 2.30 am  I knew it would be a problem today, because tonight I'm on stage for our first of 2 performance so it won't be an early night either.
Another item has a bid on it and everything has watchers. (Not necessarily buyers, I often watch items as part of researching values) but I know the treasures will sell, I'm just very surprised at the 1970's tat. This is more of Popeye's tat, 1976 was definitely his year :rotfl: :rotfl: oh how we love crimpelene :rotfl: We've been married 7 1/2 years, and he is still so tolerant of my mockingBut then I allow him to be smug when people are prepared to pay money for the stuff. £100 for Texas Homecare wallpaper circa 1974 for example, with the price tag of 82p :rotfl:
And its gotta go. Sorting through books for Amazon, I recommended one for DS2, but the mice had eaten key pages........0 -

Day 10 -into double figures, 13% of the way......
Have just spent an happy 2 hours on Skype with Hubby, catching up, and just chatteingLast night was the first time we'd spoken since last Sunday, and he's had terrible internet connections all week (weather & company budget related), an e-mail he sent Tuesday arrived Thursday
This morning I received £4 for a survey I did this week -so prompt! So I'll add that to my figure.
But I have a query on the MS where DS2 was refused service, and their office is closed. So I'll lose points on that one (not sure what the points mean anyway) but not money - I hope.
Surprising news on e-bay, one of my items-of-utter-rubbish has a bid of 99p:eek:  with 6 days to go.... I'm going to be embarrassed to send that one outAnd 68 watchers across the other 11 items.:D
Today, if my nosey neighbours are out I'll work on the front garden. We Freecycled an old rotting car yesterday (another of OH's "projects" that I've had to sort out) so the drive is clear, and the brambles are on show.
But the weather is a bit breezy and threatening rain so I'll play dodge the showers as well as dodge the neighbours.

Well I didn't get in the garden and I should have done
But I cleared a large area in the sitting room (it has not been used since OH left except for storing stuff  ) because he said bung the books on the shelves, he'll finish them properly in September, in the meantime I'll have more space and will be able to sort books for amazon-ing.....:T
Now I think I've said that Popeye is a bit of a hoarder?.......well he's even kept the trimmings of the blind we put up in the bathroom, two strips about 2 inches wide! So I'm really racking my brains to think of a scenario where 2 strips of blind could possibly come in use
On the other hand, I found he'd kept a copy of a play I wrote (& we performed) about 6 years ago, and I'd lost hope of ever recovering one of them (I wrote 5!) as I chuck paper and the old computer had long since died taking with it all my work. :rotfl: I just need to know where the other 4 might be. And then I'd have to re-write them because they were Carp :rotfl: :rotfl:
6 more books listed on Amazon.
And the death-to-mice shop was closed, but I have mixed feelings about deading them anyway. Definitely don't like poison (and what happens when the bodies start to decompose in an inaccessible corner? ) and am too squeamish to deal with traps. Pity the cat is useless. I'd just like them to go and live somewhere else, or at least to stop eating my stuff.0 -
Re: the blind bits, perhaps if you ever live in a house with really long thin windows.......
I list books on green Metropolis, got 41 pounds of them so far, and sold another book friday. I have earache still. sorry random comment but you know when it suddenly hurts...
my challenge is now in my sig. A review so far
1. to lose a stone well I bought scales......
2. to sort out our back garden to a place Mum and I can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or cp of tea! been pricing up garden stuff in Morrisions got very excited.....
3. put up the new shed and fill it with stuff that is important to me, not endless amounts of junk done nothing so far.
4. get someone to put boards down in the loft and use the space properly.have asked up work if anyone knew anyone...so far 0
5. to e bay my extra junk. nope nothing nor have I got to grips with Avon, which is sucking money out of me
6. to get a good Avon customer base see above
7. to halve my credit card debit. am not sure I will manage this one!
8. to complete my assignments for open university. have written one, and started another one.
9. to be fully prepared for school next term. got some bad news about Work Thursday. I have no office or desk space next year so it becomes pretty much essential that I learn to drive since i will be working at home entirely - not great. once i can drive I can look for another job.
So thats my update. I will be back later to fill in anything else I do today
you are an inspiration Olive Thank you xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Can you believe I listed boys toys to finish during Top Gear?
I'm so kicking myself - it's not nearly as good as last time
Where are those Pringles?0
