Your next medal is at 3000 posts, I know because I've just got mine.
Perhaps Popeye was too busy doing his challenges yesterday to email. I hope he's got as tough a set as you?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hi OO, sorry the last couple of days have been so up and down. You look as though you have come through on the side of positivity though, so good for you!
I know exactly what you mean with things "slipping" - in fact, I have today and tomorrow as annual leave, simply to catch up with some of those things that have gotten out of control such as my dining room, or just need catching up on, such as my washing and ironing (or should that be "out of control" as well,......hmm.....!) otherwise, I just can't see when it would get done!
Your challenge is going great - as far as changing sigs, I used to do it when I "did" the work - eg count quidco as soon as it was tracked, now I only do it when it is actually received in my account. I thought I would "miss" the counting as I did stuff, but actually seeing it in my account gives me a better "rush" (gosh I sound like a drug addict) so works better for me as it is more motivating!
I hope you have a good day today - I will be thinking of you as I am trying to reach my dining tableSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Seaxwyn, Popeye is a big fat CHEAT :rotfl: :rotfl:
firstly he had five challenges, just to make my list look smaller than his!
And two of those challenges were really the same one from a different direction i.e Explore this and work out how to pay for it  -as far as I'm concerned, that's the same thing -explore means working out how to pay for it.
Secondly he achieved one of those challenges before the start date (he got promotion)
Leaving a couple of little ones, that actually he can't work on while he's on the road :rotfl: :rotfl:
And no e-mail this morning, but I feel grown up enough to cope0 -
Day 8
I feel thinner - but I won't get on the scales, feeling thinner is enough :rotfl:
E-bay now has 55 watchers across all 11 items. And on cheap listing day I put on some complete RUBBISH - some 1970's curtains in a hideous yellow  and they have both got a watcher
The rest is the usual valuable stuff from Popeyes childhood.I think I'm hoping for £300 with this batch. But I can see the bottom of the box now
The sun is shining, but sadly I'm at work today so can't get in the garden. And I'm too busy to walk - Day 8 and the number of days I've walked? One way on one day
and don't mention the writing :rotfl:0 -
Hi OO - well, if Popeye is cheating on his challenges, you'll have to tweak your's a little - hope your day goes well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Olive - If you are adding the money as it clears in your account then the Quidco money definately gets into the total for the challenge!!! And as you said, OH started before the start so why doesn't yours count! I'm sure by the end you'll have some stuff that you'll have done during the challenge that hasn't hit your account and can't be counted!
Hope you got an email or some other form of contact today! And that everything is sorted for the trip on the weekend. Glad you feel thinner - that's way more important than what the scales say.
Keep posting, at least it's writing something:D !

Day 8 Part II
Well I did a mystery shop. One of the sort I used to do a lot of when OH was around. Pint and a meal. I took DS2 as he's 18 and he has been quite good at these (he time keeps but refuses to do the toilet visit :rotfl: )
Not sure how they're going to take it, but the bar staff refused to serve him a beer without an ID :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I'd ordered coffee, so they said I couldn't pretend the beer was for me, and they wouldn't accept my vouching for him :rotfl: :rotfl: They were very nice about it, but it means an incomplete visit......
I think I may well add the Quidco £139 in Aussie, but some of that was earned in January! But heaven knows when my £30 for a new credit card will ever show!
Everything was a bit of a rush, but I have caught up with lots of stuff.
Dentist, MS, even made my meeting on time. My work error however has cost the company £40 in bank charges (needed to pay by CHAPS, whereas BACS is free) boss was quite tolerant though. I must concentrate more at work (MSE is so often open in the background)

Good morning - there were a couple of posts on the quidco threads about money that was validated then being declined rather than paid out - so don't count it until you have it marked in quidco as "received" at the very least!! Validated doesn't seem to be a guarantee any more
Good luck with the ebaying - we have got 4 things on, but when I just mentioned to OH about putting his childhood "treasures" on, he went slightly pale......one to work on for another day methinks
Glad the work error was not too serious.....*slaps wrists*Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
