Day 7 Part II
Migraines can be a booger can't they Buffy? fortunately they are fairly rare for me, but when I have a slight sensation of one coming (visual disturbance) I take painkillers and try and knock it on the head straight away. Hope you're feeling better now?
I started the day today feeling overwhelmed. But writing down what needed to be done helped and now the result is:- I can't have tomorrow off, we're short handed, so I'm paying DD's train fare instead. I tried to arrange for a friend to do it, but he hasn't responded to my txts......perhaps he recognised a favour being asked :rotfl: :rotfl: This will actually be money saving, because I'm now down to unpaid days this year, and I won't be paying out for petrol.
- Re the missed deadline I did what was required and although I was late, wasn't late enough to get fined...... pheuw!
- When I got home from work I explained to DS2 that he was about to learn how to cook, and the Wednesday night supper was now his job. :rotfl: :rotfl: DD & I thought he'd gone off to sulk in his room, but instead he'd gone to wash his hands
. He's mastered a lovely tomato and onion sauce for pasta, and although he thinks Dolmio is better, he has worked out a few variations he could do
- And while he was cooking, I attacked the ironing pile and it is half it's original size
- Vet will wait until next week, I'll try and book the opticians for a Saturday, and the car is booked in for the 21st
I just needed to book things and spread them out a bit to stop them overwhelming me. Good thing too, the bloke who does our car is booked solid until 21st.
- Tomorrow I will take DS2 to the dentist, he'll come with me to the pub and drink the beer (he's 18
) for my mystery shop, and I shouldn't be late for my meeting. It just needed to be thought through.
Picked up another MS for Monday too.
But still not sure when to add the money to my signature......0 -
Hi Olive - sounds like you just needed to get it off your chest and work out what needed to be done, glad you feel better now! And glad the work thing wasn't a disaster, good catch!
As for the moneys, I would count the ebay money when it hits your account, the surveys you can't really count until you get the money or vouchers otherwise I find that there are bits and pieces in different survey accounts that isn't actually yours until you get enough to redeem. Don't do mystery shopping so don't know how you get paid for that - is it monthly or for every shop?
Anyway, chin up hon, every day gone is one closer to the end of the challenge and getting to see OH again - and think of how much you will have achieved in that time! You are doing great!
Keep up the good work

HI Olive. Just seconding Aussie - count the money when it arrives in your account.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

thanks for your cheery words Aussie.
I think I agree with your accounting proposals, but it does mean that I can't add anything to my totals yet.I have just received £139 from Quidco, but feel that adding that is cheating. Can't count the £30 I earned for applying for a cc on Quidco, cos it hasn't yet tracked, I'll count that when it is validated
And I think I'll count the MS's each time I qualify for payment (correctly submitted report) - I usually get paid within 2 weeks and I've accepted 3 this week.
I'm def. missing OH today, I've not even had an e-mail.:sad:0 -
Seaxwyn that keeps me at nought :rotfl: :rotfl:
(good thing this challenge is 75 days long, some money might have arrived by then:rotfl: )0 -
*send e mail vibes to popeye*
I have had a bad evening. not done ANYTHING at all. oh God where is my will power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
You must have done something. Even if it was to curl up in front of junk TV and re-charge your batteries? I found that the after effects of a migraine hang around for 48 hours or so - I was massively clumsy following an attack
What did you need to do? Have you done the fish?
What stirred me up to action today was a rather sad e-mail from my Pa re-counting Mum's recent activities (she has Alzheimers) and I need to get down there this weekend, so stuff needs to be done before I go. I read on s'one elses thread recently how we often wait until there is an externally imposed deadline before getting moving. Shame we can't motivate ourselves without that
But don't beat yourself up about inactivity, each day is a clean sheet and you can start again tomorrow. When do you break up? (I mean from school)0 -
I like the idea that each day is a clean sheet.
I need a whole cupboard of clean sheets!!!
Sorry about your Mum Olive, its so true tho isn't it. it takes hard things to happen to make a difference. hope you get all your stuff done so you can a weekend.
did hubby e mail?
I did just watch tv, and do some shopping..............
well tomorrow is another day!
thanks for being lovely
