OliveOyls 82 day challenge

I've been sittiing at my computer listing things on e-bay
:A
After I had done fourI needed another coffee.
As I crossed the Kitchen the sweetest; teeniest mouse ran around
Have you ever seen Tom'n'Jerry? I was like that mama standing on the chair screaming for the cat, who eventually strolled by the mouse ignoring it  and glared at his empty food dish. :rotfl: :rotfl:
The children have now been woken, and it's my fault that the house is mouse-infested.
I'm listing the mouse fodder with renewed vigour now.0 -
Oh dear! :coffee: have the coffee right now. They really should have a cat smiley on here... lol at the cat strolling by - hope your vocal cords have recovered!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Lucky you Olive, I love mice!
We recently adopted two new baby mice - did you know they are called kittens? - they are really sweet.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Seaxwyn there are plenty here for you, help yourself, the cat will probably help you.
I bought a sonic thing to drive them out of the loft where they were eating anything of paper and shredding the insulation for nests. It obviously worked they're now down here. :rotfl:
But i'm making headway on fleabay.0 -
And it's chucking it down again  So today I will:spookily it has been glorious ever since that moan about the weather
so I'll get into the garden shortly.
- continue with the filing I started.
- list some 99p stuff on e-bay. Listed 12 items, I'm going to limit the number each day, otherwise when they finish all at once:eek:
- Get some of DD's boxes into the loft. I've decided to keep my eye out for some wardrobes on Freecycle, because although she has a large room, she doesn't have much storage. nothing on Freecycle so far, and pretty easy to monitor this if I stay by the pooter....:o
- menu plan/list make/shop trying to use the freezer stuff as much as possible, the apples are beginning to arrive..... DD & I are working on it....
The weetabix tea-bread I made last week has been distinctly unpopular. So I've made bread pudding with one, which should be helpful for my packed lunches, and Apple Charlotte with the other using the windfalls.
Humous has been a bit of a non-starter. Got the ~Tahini paste, but the tin of chick peas I was certain I had, doesn't existI've put some chick peas in soak to do that tomorrow.
It's taken 18 months but I really think I may have broken the shopping habit.I went into town, to go to the butchers etc and all I bought that wasn't on the list was some horrible organic biscuits. In times gone by I would have strolled about a bit and found something I wanted/needed/desired. Even in the charity shop.
Which reminds me, in the window of one of our 7 charity shops there was a rather lovely cream evening dress from Monsoon. It looked as though it needed a dry-clean, and then I saw the price tag £120.00   I can't believe it was that much new :rotfl: :rotfl: I think they must have the decimal point in the wrong place - £12 would have done.0 -

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The people who use Freecycle are all "worthy anoraks" as my bro' thinks, hardly the market she's looking for :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Give her a call - she might have a spare wardrobeSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Day 45
Unbelievably my 12 items listed yesterday have watchers, and 3 questions.
I can't believe Popeyes carp is so interesting to people :rotfl: :rotfl:
These are free brochures he picked up between 1967-1977 :rotfl: They have to go, or the mice will eat them.
All that de-cluttering I've done in my life, I must have thrown about £20 away :rotfl:
I now wonder if I've under-priced them at 99pI can't believe that
Today I'll- list another 12 items on e-bay
- Deal with the Tesco delivery (this is a cheat entry on the list, as I have already done it
)
- Clean the bathroom
- See if I can clear some room in the sitting room (ongoing project for some weeks now
I think I only say I'm going to do it to avoid writing.....)
- keep monitoring Freecycle......
Sorry you're feeling down, I suspect once the day gets going you feel more optimistic? It's the lonely bits, getting up and going to bed; and Sundays; and rainy days, and days when you want your spouse to do something (get rid of the mice for eg), the bits where there's no-one else, these are the bits that can get you down? The rest of it is OK?
So I'm trying to feel a bit more upbeat myself.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to get my plane ticket booked for September(if I had my way I'd have the ticket already, but this is a new MS plan....)

My father finally got permission for me to use his retired-persons-staff-discount-scheme.
In a way I'm furious with him for letting me pay full whack for the last 3 trips, but I'm extremely grateful for this.
It would be a HUGE saving, except I have to use a particualar airline (obviously) which is an expensive one. And each time I travel I'm top of the "Bump-this-one-first" list so it'll be more scary.
Another trouble is he has to book it, and he can't cope with complicated computer instructions, it can't be booked at the weekend when I'm down there, so he has had to wait until bro' can get over there hopefully tomorrow. Everything is so uncertain :rotfl:0
