DS2 mocked me yesterday for spending ages listing (I'm slow :o ) stuff that Popeye accumulated, much of it for free during the 1970's. DS2 kept saying "you're only talking about £5 here and there, that's nothing, it's a waste of time...."

I've now listed 20 or so items each at 99p.....

    Day 45
    Today I'll
    • list another 12 items on e-bay almost - if only MSE wasn't so interesting......
    • Deal with the Tesco delivery (this is a cheat entry on the list, as I have already done it :o ) Done ! :D
    • Clean the bathroom Done
    • See if I can clear some room in the sitting room (ongoing project for some weeks now :o I think I only say I'm going to do it to avoid writing.....) put a few things away.....thought about a boot fair
    • keep monitoring Freecycle...... on-going :o

We had a strange dog in the garden. I know I'm wussy, but a big dog, looking awfully like an escaped bear from the zoo was a bit frightening :o DS2 guarded the door, while I went to get the next door neighbour to rescue us :o By which time dog had gone through to the fields at the back. How can people have a pet that size  Almost as bad as having wee mice as pets  I'm not sure I can cope with the animal life in my world. :rotfl: (The cat was sick outside my bedroom again last night. I suppose I should be grateful that he got off my bed to go and do it in the hall. :rotfl:)

Ugh! I'd rather have mice than clear up cat sick!

Day 46 and it's raining again :rotfl:

The mouse problem continues. I woke in the night to hear DD screaming at DS2 to do something (they stay up to watch the Olympics, I should warn them that mice are nocturnal :D ) We all have sonic deterrents in our bedrooms, I'm wondering if that is what is giving me a headache? but at least I'm not too afraid to put my foot out of bed.

When I went to the rain forest we would not only ensure that our boots were under our mozzie nets, but also would bang them together before putting them on in case there was a creature having a snooze in them. (snakes don't like to be woken :p ) I've started doing that again :D

    Today I shall:
    • eat chocolate
    • [STRIKE]make a list [/STRIKE] done
    • list 12 more items on e-bay
    • ironing
    • post my 2 credit card cancellations (We had EIGHT superfluous credit cards between us  ). I've written Popeye's letters for him to sign in September.
    • Write to Vet disputing bill. (haven't much hope for this, but I think they shouldn't get away with adding "and also..." bills without being questioned)
The filing is largely done - amazingly. But the writing didn't get started. And I don't appear to have lost anymore weight  I think home-made humous may be calorific......
  • Hi Olive, i would have thought that running around after mice would ensure lots of weight loss..
I don't like them in the house! And think they are manky creatures..apparently they wee everywhere...yuck, but i won't tell you what I did to the last lot that dared get in, suffice to say they have never come back yet and this time of year i am always listening because in Autumn time they like to make themselves comfy in folks houses!
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

Please tell me what to do. I found droppings this morning.
I think I know where they're getting in.

    Day 47

If this was the usual interval between visits, Popeye and I would be together RIGHT NOW. :( As it is we've 35 more days.....

    Bad news:
    • couldn't use Pa's discounted ticket. (turns out there is only one per year, I'll try and use it at Christmas) So flight cost £564.
    • the cat is continuing to throw up :o
    • It keeps raining.
    • I'm missing Popeye, and he's been unwell.
    Good news
    • £564 is within budget and the flights are more convenient times
    • And best of all They're Booked :j
    • And I got Air miles for my ticket, Air Miles on my credit card and 3% cashback through Quidco :rotfl: (which has tracked already)
    • Haven't fed the cat today -very MS :o and maybe he'll chase mice?
    • Sold a book on Amazon
    • 3 bids on e-bay items with 6 days to go.
    • I walked to work and am finding the NSDs achievable.
    • Sis is visiting the aged P's so I've said I'll go the following weekend.
    • DD has to go to Leeds so I may still make the meet. :D
I think the positives outweigh the negatives. But I hadn't appreciated it until I wrote it down. :D

    Morning

I do hope you can make it to the Leeds meet - it would be great!

Love your way of "incentives" so far as the cat is concerned!

Now you've got your flights booked the counting down I suspect has more purpose.

Did Popeye get his car back?
