I thought these websites would be a great link for the main page of this thread for cleaning tips. They have loads more information on baking soda, vinegar, salt and general cleaning than you have currently, all indexed and easy to use. But as I can't paste links due to being a new user please note that the addresses start with the normal "www." at the beginning.

Not sure if someone has already posted this, apologies if they have. Clean the inside glass of a woodburner or multifuel door with baby wipes, then dry with scrunched up newspaper, obviously only do this when the woodburner or multifuel burner is cold. Cleans all stains off in seconds and better than all the expensive cleaners they sell for the same job. Hope this helps :)

Where the metal racks/shelves are concerned. Put a towel in the bottom of the bath. Run some warm water and dissolve some biological soap powder in the water - you only need a couple of inches of water. Put the metal shelves in to soak (the towel is to stop the shelf causing damage to the bottom of the bath) preferably overnight. Next morning you should find that the shelf comes clean with very little rubbing - works a treat. First saw this tip from Kim and Aggie on 'How Clean Is Your House?'.

It has to be biological soap powder - something to do with the enzymes in it that cut through the burnt on grease etc. You could also try the same thing with very dirty grill pans - should work!

Not sure about the rest of your oven - mine's quite new and I've managed to keep on top of things with it by just giving it a wipe everytime I use it - always best doen while it's still warm. My old one was very manky :o when it finally went to the cooker graveyard.
I use bio powder in the stainless steel sink for this, but I am a little nervous that the biological effect itself could damage the bath surface. I left a bathroom cleaner on the bath too long once (different bath to the one I have now) It damaged it quite badly. Can anyone reassure me on this point?
