I received my tinted glasses a few days ago from https://www.site4eyes.co.uk, they were £17.50 as there was a special offer with a free tint. They are awesome, I have just ordered a pair without the tint as well.:T:beer:0

why order 2 pairs, when you can get one for free as I said above ????:eek:0

Fashion specs direct don't do glasses with a cylinder of over 2.00 so they are no good for me. I would imagine that would apply to lots of people as well.:beer:0

And there isnt much frame choice,

After spending too much on my last rimless CK frames, I was desperate to keep them and get them reglazed with my new prescription. Once I'd had my eye test (For free, I live in Scotland) I ordered a cheap rimless pair from https://www.selectspecs.com, with the intention of sending the CKs away and using the cheap pair until they came back. I tested Select Specs with an email question on reglazing, and got a speedy reply, which bolstered my faith in them.
To be on the safe side, I went to get the opinion of the lab guys at Vision Express, and they said that because of the way my CKs were put together, reglazing was impossible. I actually don't mind though, the cheap SelectSpecs ones look almost identical to my CK frames. Sure, I'll need to go grovelling to a local optician to get the arms adjusted a bit, but for £20 all in, I'm not complaining. Now, in light of the fact that I've not spent the full £50 allowance that my company dishes out for glasses, I wonder if I can get our HR manager to add the balance of it to this month's pay packet....© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0 -

and couldn't be happier - they even have a deal running where they add the same prescription sunglasses for FREE :j if you buy glasses for 19 quid or more.
They were shipped in the UK, so I suppose that's how I got them so quickly.
Thriftyguy - how was their customer service? It's one of my be-all/end-all's when I decide to use a company! Were the sunglasses of a good quality?fiendishly wrote: »Fashion specs direct don't do glasses with a cylinder of over 2.00.
For additional info., I just thought you like to know I check the Cyl figures on their site and they are up to -2.5. Also, the 'sphere' value goes up to -6.5 as you can see here.“When the customer comes first, the customer will last”0 -
Hi all
Just to add my tuppence worth.....I ordered a pair of glasses from 39dollarglasses.com and they arrived on Saturday. So it was less than a week from receiving the 'item dispatched' email to delivery, which I was very happy with.
Qualilty of glasses is absolutely fine, no obvious imperfections (at least, I haven't noticed any yet), and for the bargain price of under £50. I paid extra for the thin lenses, and obviously cost of delivery from the States - so very very happy! Would definitely recommend this company to anyone.
I know there are sites out there for even cheaper glasses, but personally I preferred the range of styles on this particular site.Lead me not into temptation - I can find it perfectly well all by myself0 -
Hey all.
Bought my last pair of specs from www.perfectspecs.co.uk about 2 years ago now and they've been excellent. Sadly little accident means they're now held together with tape LOL!
Anyways came across www.glassescrafter.co.uk They seem insanely cheap, found an awesome pair of Oakleys I'd like and it looks like they're doing the 1.6 lens included in the price (£45 frame with 1.6 glass? I mean come on?!). Will also go with some reactions at a further £40 which seems about the average price.
Anyways, all I'm wondering (without having to red 19 thread pages) is has any used them before? Looks like they're another one of these places based in the far east and that bothers me a little from a comeback point of view if they send me a pile of crap or nothing at all. Worth the punt for £90, not yet convinced tbh...
Cheers all0 -
Hmmm think I've answered my own question. The English on their little forum is terrible (probably cause it was written by someone who works for the company) and there customer service email is @gmail.com so doesn't fill me with confidence. If its too good to be true it probably is...

Still, any input much appreciated, as I really want them to be legit at these prices!0
