Did You Get Any Shopping Bargains Today Do Dawsons Still Sell Pies Off Cheap On Sat Afternoons Like They Used Too?
Didn't do much shopping today.... Aldi for bananas, new potatoes, and milk. Somerfield for a looksie, but came out with nothing except frozen peas I needed and a bottle of half price Jersey milk (semolina or rice pudding on the cards for tomorrow). Co-op didn't have much in mark down at all, and nothing we useCheryl0 -

(Ponders Weezls challenge thread next year ... "Feeding Fergus" :rotfl:)
I think all the best laid plans have to be flexible, setting a 50p budget per person is fine, and bumping that up is a very good idea when you are preggie as you need the extra nutrients.
Take care!!!"Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without!!"Nov NSD: ?/30 Nov Make 10 Day ?/300Get Rid Of Debt: ?/2000 !! :mad:0 -

Well all this talk of "extra nutrients" and "eating for 2" got me thinking
How much extra do we actually need ?? i am sure a geeky maths !!! nutrition article is winging it's way already;)
The only reason i ask is that when i had DS2 i was so sick for 6 months,i barely ate anything and certainly didn't enjoy eating, i worried he would suffer from malnutrition - my midwifes advice
"don't worry babies are parasites ,they take anything they need from you"
Not a pretty thought but it put my mind at rest, strangely a few hours after the birth(well after the transfusion!!) i started to eat again and enjoy it
Weezl hope you have a carefree pregnancy i did have one with DS1 he's 17 on the 8th in fact i have been umming about posting a piccy of him when he joined up the other day s here he is my pride and joy(don't tell him)
I have to deliver him to army college next week and i am dreading getting emotional and embarassing him

Hi Everyone
Shaz... Im sure there will be lots of mums there doing the same..and the poor lads that don't have that will probably be quite envious... what trade is he going for?
Well, since hubby dropped on me the fact that he breaks up on Friday for 2 weeks..I have decided to use it as a chance to use more things up from the freezer..things like the bags of Whoopsed organic filled pastas, various mozarellas etc... I will use them for lunches -as normally hubby has pack ups... Im trying to free up some space ..its either that -or buy another freezer (don't tempt me
)...
When i checked the other day I now have 20 bags of various combinations of roasted veggies (all from the garden :j )... so that is the base for 20 pasta meals come autumn/winter..and loads more vegies to come yet :T
At the moment I have the 2lb of blackberries and some of my free apples stewing for the freezer -saved enough apples for another batch next weekend..and have striped the chicken off for dinner tonight , so have the stock on to turn into hubbies fave -chicken n swetcorn soup for his flask tomorrow... oh and a bowl of dough proving for a new loaf
Im going to use the end of yesterdays loaf to make some stufing -there will be to much for today -so i wil make balls and freeze...
I also have 4oz mince and 3 hm sausages defrosting -1 will go in the stuffing and the rest is for making savoury meat roll tomorrow..heck Im feeling rather organised for a sunday :rotfl:
Think the rest of the day will be sat on my bum x stitching/knitting :T
right thats enough waffle..have a great day everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

I think once we hit 30 we all have to go to bed earlier! One late night last weekend did me in for 3 days.
Mrsmcawber - I wish I was half as organised as you, my life would be alot easier!0
