The Pizza dough can most definetly be turned into normal bread rolls etc. Or roll out, spread with a bit of pizza sauce, and a bit of cheese and make pin wheel scone type things. Or you could even fry a bit in butter and eat with syrup .... or you can add some spices and raisons or something to make like raison buns...
I have a pizza dough recipe I make in bread maker and several others I often make by hand and I use the dough I need for pizza and the leftovers for lots of things."Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without!!"Nov NSD: ?/30 Nov Make 10 Day ?/300Get Rid Of Debt: ?/2000 !! :mad:0 -

Thanks seakay...for the 4 week wait...I did thing that was a long time shaz!! I can confirm a lesser spotted Weezl has been observed in her home habitat and is clearly living & breathing, as is AM. Both decorating away and no wonder they havent been on as very busy doing lots of beautiful things to the house! Plus IMO it does us all good to have a bit of an MSE break every now & again as its gets a bit much someties, as we have witnessed this week on DFW...balance is needed in ALL things me thinks...:)Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Someone pointed me to this thread saying I'd be interested, so here I am, finally posting! I'm looking forward to trying out some of the recipes I've seen and I wish you all the best with your challenge, Weezl!
I've not had a very Old-Style day so far, but I'm hoping to get a bit better from your frugal exploits. Thanks, and I'll be sticking around to cheer you on, if being slightly unable to duplicate them.Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -

 Hmmmm.....sounds like there was an "outbreak of hostilities" over on DFW from that. Thank goodness we - usually - manage to avoid that on this Board:T
Good to get confirmation though ISOM that our Weezl is alive and well (if paint-spattered and shattered!) - ooh...er..it rhymes....I'll be joining our Weezl at this rate "she was a poet and didnt know it"....and I havent had a glass of wine either to provoke this burst of creativity (or summat!);)..nice cool lager sounds more like it in this weather..0 -

I don't drink often (as best I recall I've only had 3 or 4 drinks since Christmas 2006, and haven't had anything at all since - or during - last Christmas), but could murder one of those today !!!
Our frugal (to some extent) and healthy (to a bigger extent) cooking has been shot out of the window a bit this weekend..... elder grand-daughter (5 a week tomorrow) had a scheduled operation on Friday, so my daugher is in there with her. That means I have younger grand-daughter (3) to entertain and feed -- and unfortunately daughter panders to their choices when it comes to meals.
Last night was smartprice chicken nuggets with special offer oven chips -- not expensive but not healthy. Tonight is special offer quarter pounder with mash, veg and gravy for hubby, son and myself -- and in a bun with cheese for GD!Cheryl0 -
Evening all. Just made a cheapie supper...chopped toms with a fried steak with some mustard (in fry light for the swers amongst us) with pots that I chopped, sprayed with fry light & mixed in some curry powder, chilli and the roasted in the oven for 40 mins...all yummy! Have no idea how much it cost though but know it was relatively cheap as steak was thin!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

good morning all!
BAH! my OH annoyed me yesterday!
first he looked at my admittedly small veggie patch and asked if it was worth it? !!! ok ... so we don't get loads from it, but enough tatties for 8+meals (would have been more, but my 'friendly' mole helped himself!), lots of peas, beans on the way, 8 broccolli plants, some carrots (that mole again!) and some sweetcorn. not to mention 3 courgette plants, (that from last years experiment/experience) i hope will carry on giving courgettes into september! oh, and tomato plants!
i will still have to buy some veggies & salad (i MUST plant the lettuce!) but it all helps to keep meal costs down, and as i bought seed etc, its only my time and energy!
THEN, he looked in a bowl in the kitchen and asked what was in it ... nettles! (my veggie patch kindly grew some fresh little ones for me:D)
he said that was going too far! HA! if he doesn't want nettles, then he won't be having any dinner tonight!i made that gorgeous smelling nettle bhagee .. but not lots of nettles, and added lentils too! i'm a bit aprehensive about eating nettles ...
going out for day with children, taking picnic and the only cost will be an ice lolly or two!
