When your hands stink of garlic, fish etc I use the "stainless steel soap". Basically a soap shaped stainless steel bar. You could use a stainless steel spoon instead.
Rub well under water. Smell goes.
I took some to my friend in India. She is mighty impressed as how the smell just goes.

Because im so anameic i have coem to the conclusion that i was using the caffeine to stay awake and alert so now its gone im feelign absolutely knackered all the time and its a killer. so anyone any weezl style recipes for boosting iron levels??? minus the pigs heads if possible.

Also came away last night with a cauliflower for 20p and a 10p big loaf of bread. its a bit 'ard though so think i will be making it into breadcrumbs or bread pudding if i can cut it half decently and not like doorstops!

hello! :hello:I'm missing you all enormously... I keep wanting to pop on and be geeky, but Mr Weezl would feel very abandoned. Just finishing a 10 hr DIY day. On the back of 3 more like it. Pheweee, we're knackered! I'll post some piccies when we're done. One lodger used to keep her bike indoors in her room, so there's a lot of make-good there, to tell just one story....

Freezing-wise, I'll try and do a catch all answer, because I know folks worry about what can be frozen. I don't think I've written any recipes that can't be frozen!!!!!

That should cover all eventualities ;)

Stats-wise we are doing very well, on our 50p each a day. Today we dipped into our fun budget and had a leetle chinese takeaway. Please will you all forgive me?!

I promise I will be back in earnest very soon, when real life stops interfering!!!

No lodgers for a month! a whole month! Our house feels all big and quiet and lovely!:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hope everyone is well and happy.

Munchki, sorry about your OHs job, fingers crossed sommat even better will emerge.

    Weezl x

If you've just spent 4 days solid decorating, then I think you more than deserved that takeaway

  • Awww nice to see you back Weezl, and glad it's all going well and yes, you deserve a treat now and again! And after all that decorating I wouldn't have wanted to cook either!
To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.
