Hi all - PenPen, you are more than welcome to visit my fantasy island! As for the West Lothian question, I'm trying not to think about it, suffice to say that I have just heard that the Tories have said they will put that right if (when) they get in!

I have no intention of starting up a Murray thingy again but I promise I will give him a fair chance to grow up. After all, even McEnroe managed it, in the end! And I did say I respected his talent!

Well, this must be one of the hottest days of the year; I've got loads done today though you wouldn't think it judging by how often I've posted on here!

    See you later.

    Hi all!:hello:

Just a quick post to say hello - we've been back since Thursday evening, but have had food poisoning and this is the first day I've been well enough to eat anything since Thursday! We actually got ill on the Wednesday but i was worse than poor DH - I had no option but to retire to bed and lie there wishing to die, leaving him to do all the packing up on his own:o Managed to get to a pharmacy on the Weds afternoon and got some sea-sickness pills, which got me home. I actually had a meal on the ferry, but got worse again the next day.

On the plus side, at least I lost about 6lb, though that'll soon go back on again, i'm sure!

See you soon - tomorrow if i can manage it

    Best wishes

    Afternoon All

Lovely, lovely day here! Been up the garden picking a fourth crop of raspberries. Some are currently making raspberry vodka.

Had my medium friend round the other night and our ghost is now gone. It was a facinating evening.

Dinner tonight is HM battered cod with salad and new potatoes.

Went shopping at Mr T yesterday and nearly had a heart attack at the checkout. Things really are getting expensive. At least I got a voucher for 5p off every litre of petrol.

    Hope everyone's ok

Shall I bring some of my rare-breed sausages to the island, or do you want a return trip to our "farm" to sample them ;)

Candygirl - my parents got an ASBO notice for a barking dog and they don't even have a dog. My mum sent a photograph of her cat to the council, who still said they had to investigate :rotfl:

well, I finished my marking on Sunday and now I have another 150 to do :rotfl: Ahh well. Still, the money is really really handy.

Scuzz - you must bring raspberry vodka to the island :) Sounds lovely.

Dinner tonight is the stuff I forgot about in the slow cooker that we were supposed to have last night but didn't eat because I feel asleep really early :) And I should really make chocolate cake for workshop :)

    Evening all,

MIOLIERE, -- Quote '' but I promise I will give him a fair chance to grow up'' I thought you were being so forgiving towards the *?*!!*?: then re-read it and noticed you meant Murry!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

First and hopefully the last time I have read any comment like that on this thread. (From CS I mean)

Well, the furniture arrived, the chest of drawers x 2 were fine but the huge bookcase was damaged, I phoned the company whilst the delivery chaps were here and explained. I was told I would have to send photo's of the damage. Wot?? I handed the phone to Del men and they confirmed that it was damaged in 5 places when they unwraped it. Person on the other end said a replacement would be ordered and delivered within 4 weeks.
I ordered these 7 weeks ago. My answer was FFFffffffforget it, please refund my money. '' That will take 2 months Madam''

First time I have ever used an angry face. :o

I thought I'd typed a post but, when I came back this way, it has not submitted for some reason.

PenPen - the answer to your question is 'both', please! Rare-breed sausages sound delicious.

Taplady - please wish your DS lots of luck with his new venture - he sounds very enterprising.

Well, off to have my dinner.

    Will catch up later.

Beth - that's awful customer service, isn't it? I don't see why it should take two months to refund your money. You haven't got the goods and your money will sit in an account making interest for them; tell them that you want interest on it from today until the day it's refunded. I'd actually put it in writing giving them fourteen days to respond, preferably with a cheque for your money. Put 'without prejudice' at the head of the letter and 'time is of the essence' after the fourteen days bit. Good luck.
