            Morning!
Running late this morning as did not sleep well at all last night - just dozed on and off all night.
Mioliere - I like your idea of a fantasy island! Your cottage in Devon sounds amazing (I live in Devon, give me a shout if you want and we'll go for a coffee or something)
Snowy - Good on you for standing up to that road rage imbecile last night. I think these people need taking down a peg, you can't just gob off at someone and not expect them to say/do anything back
Off to work in a minute, need to get dressed and have breakfast. Just tried to do my shopping online with Mr T and when I got to the checkout it wiped my basket??? Will have to do it again later
Tea tonight is 'Nosh Up' (sausages, bacon and spaghetti topped with mash and cheese). Nice and easy
Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0

She is going away on friday for a week in spain, and asked if I could water her front garden, she has 6 raised beds full of veggies, and said I could help myself :T . I see Lleyton got whipped. Hopefully Murry will get booted out next round. Please send up your prayers. Please send up your prayers.
Aussie if twink had found a man I'm sure it would be a "Hot Indian" that kyle had no need for. Isn't that right, twink? if twink had found a man I'm sure it would be a "Hot Indian" that kyle had no need for. Isn't that right, twink?
As for Murray - are you asking me to pray that he is knocked out? Me - a Scot? Me? I was very impressed with his comeback last night. Can't see him getting past Nadal but his aggressive play is almost American in attitude - quite unusual for a Brit.
Well, the nurse didn't shout at me but has told me to aim for losing a stone by my next appointment which is in one month! Bear in mind that this month also includes one week away with my DMum - the woman who drinks about 20 cups of tea a day and has to eat something with at least 10 of them! :rotfl: How she stays slim I will never know.
I really should go as I'm supposed to be w**king this afternoon. Really can see it far enough though. I would much prefer to sit outside reading a good book.
(((hugs))) to all. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

            Good morning:D
Yes, I have been poorly, thanks for the well wishes:D Started with a raw throat, sniffles and then the cough from hell. I've stopped coughing quite a bit over the last 24 hours or so, so managed to keep my appointment for my mammogram this morning. Oh joy:rolleyes: Well she confirmed what my niece suspected....... I've coughed so much I've cracked a rib. No wonder it hurts so bl**** much! Trying to get me *in position* was a bit of a struggle, but she was lovely, and very gentle. And she was honest enough to say, "this is going to hurt a bit but not for long";)
Anyway, I've done absolutely nothing remotely OS in days:o Oh except make some twinks. And wouldn't you know they turned out the most perfect ever!! Thing is, my head's been so fuzzy I don't know what I did differently. They're always lovely, but this batch were the perfect crispness, perfect colour and perfect taste. Now they want me to do more *just the same*. In their dreams:rotfl:
Anyway, enough of me:o I have been reading, and sending congratulatory vibes for the celebrations and successes, and hugs for the poorlies and sadnesses.
mioliere, you're not alone re Andy Murray:o But I think his brother comes across as lovely, and I wish him tons of success. It's a shame he can't have the same mixed doubles partner as last year, would have been good to see them again. Maybe Andy will grow up eventually, and then we'll be able to like him too;) ( oh and belated Happy Anniversary)
happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Pippa
Well I suppose now I'm on the road to recovery, I should shift my bum and do something constructive.
 Enjoy your days.

Annie ((hugs)) for you - will be thinking of you
moliere - I like the sound of you fantasy island too
Hester ((hug)) for you too and well done for being so strong and supporting your family like that.:A
Candygirl - don't let them get you down - I'm certain you are an excellent teacher and schools need people like you.
My thesis is eating my brain. I sat at my computer for 8 hours yesterday and wrote 200 words. It's so dull and I hate it. My examiners are going to be asleep before they get to the end of chapter 1. I'm fed up as my computer didn't come with Office, so I can't work at home and have to be here. Dr Jeckyll is off filming a TV show today - it's apparently a comedy quiz where they have a boffin and a comidean together on a team. He does come across as charismatic so TV would suit him. I don't know when the show will be aired, but I will keep an eye out for it.
I got in yesterday with a nasty headache (I hate them because they affect my sight) curled up in bed at 9pm and slept through until 7 am. So tired
have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0

Hello everyone, from wet and windy Northern Ireland. You're all making me go green with envy with your reports of how your weather is lovely and warm.
Hiya Churchie, you poor little things. I can't believe you cracked a rib just by coughing. Must have been one hell of a cough, and you must have pretty substantial lungs... I'm glad to hear that you're on the mend now though.
Like N9eav's OH I had an interview this morning. I don't make things any easier for myself as I left home with "just the right amount of time" to get there. The place was in an area I'm not familiar with, so I got lost and arrived 15 minutes late. Oops...I can categorically state that that was the wrong way to keep calm and collected and make an impression. I was in a right flap, so I don't think I made a particularly good representation of myself. Never mind, I've got other things in the pipeline, there are bound to be disappointments along the way.
Anniebooklover ....:eek::eek: you have to lose a whole stone in a month OMG. I wish you luck, I'm sure you can do it if you really really put your mind to it.
Mioliere - that 's a great tip about the fantasy island. I'll be using that one myself when my life gets moving again.
I suppose I should do something now - no point in putting on a wash as it's piddling down out there. I know, I'll spruce up the kitchen and wash the floors, then this afternoon crack on with the job hunt.
 Bye all

            Good afternoon!
What a lovely day! Have just spent time faffing about arranging plants in the flowerbed, just given them a good soaking and will go and actually put them in the ground in a bit. Hopefully once they all spread a bit it'll look nice, well it'll look better than bare earth anyway!
Not done a whole lot today, just seem to have pottered around, need to get bm, wm and something for dinner going! Prob be hm burgers as the weather seems like it'll hold for a barbie, and I'm on hol this week, so might as well make the most of not having to rush off in the evenings to work.
Collected my friend and her children yesterday, they've been in Australia for the last three years, and now because of the childrens ages they need to decide whether to stay or come home. Luckily their tenants haven't long moved out of the house, so at least they have a home for the couple of months they're here, either that or my house really would be pushed to the limits!
Maisie cat is getting ever bigger, and spends all her time sleeping now, so I don't think it'll be too long before she has her kittens, it really will be like Noah's ark in the house then! She seems to have moved into dd1's bedroom, it's prob the quietest place in the house though.
Just realised I haven't hoovered yet either! Oops!
Have a lovely day all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

Snowy, good luck in your job search, bet next time you'll be an hour early. I was sorry you were exposed to that idiot's road rage the other day. I was sorry you were exposed to that idiot's road rage the other day.
I haven't had my rib confirmed by xray:o My niece, ( nurse, midwife etc) said she thought I could have cracked one because of the site and degree of pain I was getting, especially during coughing fits. When I had the mammogram this morning I said to the radiographer about my cough, but said it was much less and I was sure I could stay still long enough. As she tried to put me in position it really hurt, and she said, like my niece, she thinks I have put a crack in a rib. Maybe I'm just a big baby:o Anyway, I'm not going to sit in casualty for four hours to find out:rotfl: They don't do anything for a crack, not even strapping. You only get that for a break.
anniebooklover, that sounds way too much to me. I know a stone in a month can be done, but I thought the *healthy* way was supposed to be 1-2 lbs a week
I really must get off and do something now:rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Hello again! I'm so pleased that my fantasy island is going down so well! It has helped me on numerous stressful occasions and DH knows exactly how I'm feeling when I say 'I want my island!'. I hope it helps some of you. I do harbour a strange idea; well, it's not mine but some time ago I read about a chap who made himself an island out of plastic milk containers fastened together. He lives on it just off the coast of Mexico, apparently! The last I heard he had some livestock on it and was trying to become self-sufficient. It sounds weird, I know, but I'm sure I didn't just dream it!
Churchie - glad to see you posting again; you've been horribly ill by the sound of it. (((Hugs))) to you and I hope you get better soon.
Annie - I wouldn't dream of expecting anyone, especially a Scot, to want Andy Murray knocked out, honest! That would make me as uncharitable as him! I do acknowledge and respect talent, and he is talented at his game. Actually, it's that horrid aggression which really winds me up - I had to stop watching last night for that reason! I'm afraid he's the sort I'd like to punch in the g*b! I've really got it in for him, haven't I? I'm so sorry! He's probably very kind to old ladies and animals; I'll give him another chance!
Celyn - (((Hugs))) to you; it sounds like such a struggle - just think about when it's all over and, in the meantime, there's plenty of room on my island!
Blairweech - we'll be six miles outside Tavistock and deep in the countryside but I'm not doing the driving so probably won't be that mobile. It would be great to meet you, though! Whereabouts are you? My DH was born in Plymouth but was brought up mainly in lovely laid-back Totnes, then in Buckfastleigh. As it happens, I had to spend some of my childhood in a children's home in Buckfastleigh due to both my parents being taken seriously ill at the same time. I found out years later that the home was almost walking distance from where my DH lived as a child - he reckons we must have passed each other in the street and he remembers the home's mini-bus ferrying the children around. He still has relatives there, in Newton Abbot and Bovey Tracey, so we go back quite a lot. I love walking on Dartmoor - it's one of my favourite places in the UK.
Well, I'm mioliering again - 'someone put her on that b****y island and shut her up, please!' I heard someone say!
Anyway, I'm starvin Marvin so I'm going to have my lunch and then I've just worked out that I can move my printer and clear a bit of space on my desk so I shall be doing that later, then knitting and probably dozing. I'll be back!
